If the trademark registrant needs to renew the trademark after the expiration of the validity period, it needs to go through the renewal procedures in accordance with the regulations within 12 months before the expiration of the validity period. If the trademark expires, it can be extended for up to six months. With the approval of the Trademark Office, the trademark registrant continues to enjoy the exclusive right to use the trademark.

If the renewal formalities are not completed at the expiration of the period, the registered trademark shall be cancelled.
