As a representative of the Asian men's basketball team, China Men's Basketball Team has been the winner of the best ranking of Asian men's basketball teams in previous World Cups since it participated in the FIBA World Cup (formerly known as the World Men's Basketball Championship) in 1994, ranking eighth in the highest ranking.
