Our college held an exhibition competition on "Beauty is a blessing or a curse"

Only when the words are shocked can you argue like one, and the words are not to be outdone. On the evening of March 12, two senior three debate teams in our college had a tit-for-tat debate on the topic "Beauty is a blessing or a curse". Lin Jialin, a senior teacher of the college, and Wu Chunjie, a 20 12 counselor, were invited as judges in this debate.

This debate is divided into six parts. After the lottery, Zheng Fang insisted that beauty is a blessing. In this regard, the proponents believe that beauty itself is innocent, and we can't blame beauty itself because some people pursue beauty in the wrong way, which will lead to disaster, while the opponents refute each other's views on the grounds that the construction of Yuanmingyuan and the Great Wall consumes a lot of manpower and material resources to bring people pain. The two sides have sharp words, and you come and go, to outdo each other. While looking for loopholes in each other's defense friends, they each demonstrated and expounded their own views. "Society constantly creates beauty, but it also brings serious environmental problems." In the stage of free debate, in response to the sharp questions raised by the other side, the three parties immediately refuted with flexible and witty minds that "there is no such thing as a free lunch, and we can't stop because we are afraid of paying the price ..." Their wonderful debate won the audience's constant applause. Finally, the Quartet made a concluding speech, brilliantly summed up their views in fluent language, and made efforts to win the competition.

The pro-debater narrowly beat his opponent with a score of 136.4 and won the first prize in this competition. The advantages and disadvantages of the three debates won the title of "best debater". The exhibition competition of the debate not only showed the unique charm of the School of Mathematical Statistics, but also further stimulated the enthusiasm of the students to participate in the debate activities.
