Confucius Temple in Jinxiang, Shandong Province: Twenty-four Dragon Columns, also known as Yuan Wen, written by Li Wei.

12,202016 I went to Yutai Confucian Temple early this morning, and then I went to Jinxiang Confucian Temple by bus from Li Hongwu. The tour guide is in front of a newly-built archway, so we can't park here. Liu Yulin and I got off here and asked Li Hongwu to find a parking space. We walked into Xinghu Park.

Enter Xinghu Park from here.

saliva

This park is mainly composed of a lake with a trail in the middle and some small stalls on both sides. One of the stalls sells bee cakes and syrup, which reminds me of my childhood taste buds. So I bought a bag of bee cakes and chewed them while walking, suddenly feeling how beautiful the world is.

Walking to the middle of the park, I saw a lot of people shaking diabolo in a venue, and the introduction board next to it said diabolo was a local characteristic. I didn't check when diabolo was produced, and the information checked in advance didn't mention the local characteristics. When introducing Jinxiang in Ancient Towns and Villages in Shandong Province, edited by Dong Ke and Guo Xiaolin, he said: "As early as the clan and tribe period, Jinxiang was a settlement of Yi people, which was called a country in Xia and Shang Dynasties and belonged to Song Cheng in the Western Zhou Dynasty. Qin is located in Dongmen, Changyi and Qi counties. Until the Western Han Dynasty, there was still Dongmen County. According to research, Dongpu County in the Qin and Han Dynasties is the resident of Jinxiang Town in Jinxiang County today. "

This town has a long history, and my admiration attracted Liu Yulin's praise. He told me a lot about the history of ancient towns in Shandong along the way, and his familiarity is not just a few treasures.

Wenfeng Tower

Further on, I saw a pagoda, which Liu Yulin said was Wenfeng Pagoda. After I came back, I checked the information. It's this name. According to the new edition of Jinxiang County Records, the pagoda, also known as Guangshan Temple Pagoda, was built in Zhenguan four years in the Tang Dynasty, and according to the data, it was built by General Weichi Gong. And Qin Dou became famous gatekeepers. He actually built such a pagoda, so when I saw it, I thought it was really magnificent. However, "Jinxiang County Records" said: "Wenfeng Tower is a 13-story pavilion-style building with masonry structure, stone platform base and brick octagon, and the top is iron gourd-shaped with a height of 49.3 meters. 1938, the Japanese invaders shelled five floors, and now there are seven and a half floors left. The junction of each floor is a double-layer brick bucket arch, and an arched door is built in the east, west, south and north. The north gate on the first floor spirals up to the top floor. "

County card

I counted and saw the Wenfeng Pagoda with nine floors. It seems that the thirteenth floor has not been restored. In the county annals, it is said that the first floor of the tower is embedded with stone carvings, and it talks about the restoration in the early years of the Republic of China: "According to Cheng Qi, the tower was built in Zhenguan, Tang Dynasty for four years, and it has a history of more than 1,000 years, and its base site is peeling off. The gentry merchants in the same city collect a lot of money, which is very strange and rough to repair. " Diary of Jiayin New Moon in March of the third lunar month in the Republic of China. The iron pen king is drowning. "

Whatever the reason, it is always hateful to destroy such a historical treasure. Fortunately, so many people of insight are trying to protect historic sites. Although it is difficult to see the more handsome posture of this tower today, it is gratifying that it can still stand by and watch the water today.

Overlooking kuixing building

On the other side of this tower, there is another building similar to the turret, namely Kuixing Tower. "Jinxiang County Records" records: "In the twenty-seventh year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1599), Peng Kunhua, a native of Runan, was appointed as the magistrate of Jinxiang and built the Kuixing Building. The upper floor is dedicated to the statue of Kuixing, and the lower floor has four open windows for tourists to rest. Lingyun Bridge in front of the building is above Shouhe River and connected with the land shore. "

But I walked to the front of Kuixing Building, where the door was locked, perhaps because of the epidemic, but in this empty place, the virus is unlikely to have a chance to survive. It's useless to sigh, but when you come here again in the future, you can learn about the situation inside Kuixing Building.

Wenyuan Pavilion across the lake

Wen Yuan Pavilion is a two-story building.

Opposite our new lake, there is a two-story antique building on the other side, which is the Confucius Temple I am looking for. I found information from the Internet that Jinxiang Confucian Temple has been demolished, but the rebuilt pavilion is made of 24 dragon pillars of Confucian Temple. Look at these stone pillars carefully. They are really beautiful. The plaque of Wen Yuan Pavilion hangs on the door on the first floor. Regarding the origin of this name, Jinxiang County Records wrote: "On the northwest bank of Xinghu Lake, 1985, the former site of Wenchang Pavilion was built as Wenyuan Pavilion. 7.2m high, 23m long and13m deep. There are arches and cornices on the upper floor, circular corridors on the lower floor, and 24 carved dragon stone pillars stand upright. Above the main entrance, there is a "Wenyuan Pavilion" inscribed by the county magistrate Wang. The whole building, carved with beams and painted with buildings, is magnificent. "

It is not clear whether the museum was named in the 1980s, or why it has the same name as the Siku Library in the Forbidden City. If it was in the Qing dynasty, it was obviously trespassing. However, the Wen Yuan Pavilion in front of us is only one tenth as big as the Forbidden City, which is really not magnificent. However, Wenxian Pavilion in Jinxiang seems to be not a new building, because Jining City-level Wenbao brand is hung at the door. With such determination, it shows that this Wen Yuan Pavilion is not a contemporary fiction. However, the back of the insurance card is blank, and the corresponding personal data information cannot be found.

Yang Shan college paibian

lock up

Today, the door of Wen Yuan Pavilion is locked, and the plaque of Yang Shan Academy is hung at the door. "Jinxiang County Records" said: "During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, the county built a library in the northeast corner of the Confucian Temple to store classics. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a' Yang Shan Academy' in the Confucian Temple. Books were borrowed for internal use, and then moved to Miao Yi Lizaotang, which was divided into classics, history, books and collections. In the early years of the Republic of China, there were many new people, and ancient books were gradually sealed. 19 14 set up a public library, which will be removed soon. 1928, Yu Huazhang, a sect of the county Ministry of Education, built the Zhongshan Library in Kuixing Building, with more than 200 books, 1000 books, 4 newspapers and periodicals, and 10 publications, which were open to the public. 1930, Yu Huazhang joined the army and Sun Shucheng took over, adding new books one after another, which were divided into two parts, A and B, and gradually took shape. 1938, Jinxiang fell, and the Kuomintang county government fled with the large-scale series Wan You Library, and the rest of the books were lost. "

It seems that in the Qing Dynasty, there was Yang Shan Academy in Jinxiang Confucian Temple, and there were books for people to read. In the Republic of China, it became a library. Li Hengfa's Epitaph of Jining Dynasty contains the epitaph of Hanlin Academy Zhou. In the introduction before the epitaph, it is said: "This stone exists in Wenyuan Pavilion in Jinxiang", which seems to contain some ancient stone carvings.

I looked in from the window and could see nothing in the dark, but this epitaph of Zhou is very important to the local area. The epitaph was written by Li Ao and by Pan, the top scholar. The Ming Dynasty wrote: "If you take it from your hometown, you will become a scholar and change to Jishi Shu. There has been no library and postal service in Wujin Lane since its branch was opened in Ming Dynasty. You chose it first, and Li Party congratulates you. "

The dragon column in front is an old relic of Confucius Temple.

give exact information

Zhou was the first local person to enter imperial academy, and his epitaph was written by the champion. Can't see such an important stone carving, you can imagine his regret.

Behind it is a square column.

Square column detail drawing

I walked around the Wen Yuan Pavilion twice, with a dragon column in front and square chamfered columns on the other three sides, engraved with some floral decorations, just like many Confucius temples. Behind the Wen Yuan Pavilion is a clearing. There are some chairs along the wall. Some old people are sitting here in the sun. There is no text on the wall introducing Jinxiang Confucian Temple.

Front eaves

The wenbao sign says Wen Yuan Pavilion.

There are no words on the back.

Turning to the other side, I saw the cultural protection sign of Kuixing Building, which has been overhauled many times. "Jinxiang County Records" wrote: "Kangxi Renchen (1705), Kuixing Building collapsed, Lingyun Bridge was rotten. Shen Yuan, a magistrate of a county, first advocated donating money, and fund-raisers gathered to renovate Kuixing Building and rebuild Lingyun Bridge. Take the stone as the pier, the big wood as the beam, and lay a three-hole thick plate. "

More interestingly, this building used to be a place for speeches. When talking about public education, Jinxiang County Records said: "19 14 years (in the second year of the Republic of China), Jinxiang County established the People's Lecture Society, and public education began. Actor at that time 16, number of lectures 13. 19 18, and the lecture address was moved to Kuixing Building. " However, mass education at that time did not seem to be very successful: "193 1 1 June, provincial inspector Wang Xin visited Jinxiang and talked with Wang Kuishan, director of the general affairs department, Hu Cilian, director of the library department and some staff. When asked about the "Northeast Incident" and "League of Nations relations", some people present said national defense. In the second year, the incompetent people in the People's Education Center were laid off. " It seems that formal things have no meaning.

Only lingering

Turn to the right front corner of the Wen Yuan Pavilion. There are two huge buildings here. Unfortunately, I don't know where the monument went. Otherwise, I can learn about the evolution history of Jinxiang Confucian Temple from above.

The back square is an activity venue.

It was already noon after taking photos, and Liu Yulin took me to eat local specialties. We found a small shop called "Du Sao Zan Meat Dry Rice". Liu Yulin specially told me that the pronunciation of the word Xun was posted in a circle of friends after I took a photo. Sure enough, many people knew it. But I thought the meat was still too fat, so I ordered a bowl of beef noodles. In the process of waiting for noodles, I saw thousands of words on the wall of the shop introducing the history of the meat.

Next to the county government

Liu Yulin see I focus on these words, specially let me taste the meat. It's really fat but not greasy, but I found some toothpicks in the meat when I ate it. Liu Yulin explained that each piece of meat has a large area, and he was worried that it would break when cooked, so he added some toothpicks. I feel that accidentally eating a toothpick in my stomach is like an event. What's more, I always eat toothpicks when I eat meat, which is somewhat psychological. Liu Yulin said that I like to care about things I shouldn't care about. He heard that I was still sorry for not entering the Wen Yuan Pavilion. He teased me that if you can eat two bowls of meat, maybe the door will open.
