The winner advanced to the final (BO5) for the 2023MSI championship. 2023MSI uses version 1 1.9, and Fo Lazar and Gwen are disabled by default. At the same time, this year's mid-season champion awards will also be updated, and the division where the mid-season champion team is located will receive an additional place to participate in the 2023 global finals. After the mid-season champion, the final global battle ranking of the 2023 season will also be settled.
The first place in the competition is free to choose the date of the rematch.
In the past MSI, the first place in the tournament only had the right to choose semi-final opponents: he could choose semi-final opponents between the third and fourth places in the tournament. By default, the semi-final will be played first, and another semi-final will be played the next day.
For example, this year's MSI semi-finals are on the 27th and 28th, and the final is on the 29th. Therefore, the first group of the rematch will have a day's rest before the final, and the winner of the other group of the rematch needs to play back to back.
Last year, MSI and RNG, as the second place, were supposed to play back-to-back semi-finals and finals, but because of the time when RNG returned to China, the fist temporarily changed the order of the two semi-finals, and RNG could play the semi-finals first and take an extra day off.
