1933, in order to commemorate the soldiers killed in the Battle of Songhu, overseas Chinese built a cemetery for the soldiers killed in Songhu of the 19th Route Army in Dongsha Road, Guangzhou. 1983 was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Guangzhou, and 1989 was listed as the second batch of national key martyrs memorial buildings protection units in the State Council on August 3 1. 1990 changed its name to the cemetery of soldiers killed in the Anti-Japanese War in Songhu, 19th Route Army, and was announced as an excellent building unit in modern China. 1995 1 was announced by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the first batch of patriotic education bases in China. In July, 2002, it was promoted to be a cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province, and in the same year it was rated as a national 3A tourist scenic spot.
