II. Introduction of Gansu Institute of Architecture and Technology
Our college is the only public higher vocational college in Gansu Province approved by the Gansu Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college is located at No.200, Yanjiaping Sancun, Qilihe District, Lanzhou City. Founded in 1958, it was originally affiliated to Gansu Provincial Construction Engineering Corporation. 200 1 Gansu Institute of Construction Workers' Engineering, Gansu Institute of Construction Engineering and Gansu Vocational School of Construction Workers merged to form Gansu Institute of Construction Technology. At the end of 2004, the whole college system was handed over to the Gansu Provincial Construction Department for management and became a state-owned enterprise. At the end of 2008, it passed the evaluation of talent training by the Ministry of Education, and was handed over to the Gansu Provincial Department of Education for management in 2009. 20 10 was approved as "Construction Unit of Demonstration Higher Vocational Colleges in Gansu Province". At the end of 20 13, through the second round of talent training evaluation by the Ministry of Education and the acceptance of provincial model school construction project in June 20 17, it was successfully selected as "Gansu Province 13 High-quality Vocational College Training School".
The college mainly focuses on full-time higher vocational education, including adult higher education, on-the-job training and vocational skills training, and there are more than 7,000 full-time higher vocational students.
The college has eight teaching departments: Department of Architectural Engineering, Department of Traffic Engineering, Department of Environment and Municipal Engineering, Department of Architecture, Department of Building Economic Management, Department of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information, Department of Basic Courses and Department of Ideological and Political Education. Taking the specialty of civil construction as the advantage and the specialty of construction engineering technology, engineering cost, road and bridge engineering technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineering technology and engineering survey technology as the characteristics, a professional pattern of coordinated development of 39 majors in seven categories, including civil construction, transportation, water conservancy, equipment manufacturing, resources, environment and safety, electronic information, finance and trade, has been formed. Relying on Gansu Institute of Architecture, Gansu Architectural Vocational Education Group and Gansu Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Vocational Education Group were established. With the support of the central government, there are 2 key specialties, 6 provincial specialties, 5 provincial model colleges and 2 college specialties to improve the development ability of professional service industry, which has formed a good situation of stable development of traditional specialties, obvious advantages of characteristic specialties and outstanding construction of key specialties.
There are 465 faculty members, 394 full-time teachers, 227 double-qualified teachers, 6 professors, 73 associate professors, 4 senior engineers and 0/7 senior engineers. The college also hired 136 senior and intermediate engineers and technicians with rich practical experience as part-time teachers and off-campus practice instructors.
The college now covers an area of 3 12 mu, with a building area of182,000 square meters. There are more than 448,500 books in the library, and electronic books 1705GB. At present, there are 4 training bases 14 supported by the central and provincial governments, 34 laboratories and simulated training rooms in schools, including 4 large-scale laboratories with school-enterprise cooperation; Established 64 long-term and stable off-campus practice and training bases.
