When there are four or more groups of SW 3. 1. 1.4, the last three groups shall be arranged according to the method of SW 3.1.3. The swimmers' lanes shall be arranged according to the priority of each group's athletes' registration results and the following provisions of SW3. 1.2.

SW 3. 1. 1.5 exception: when an event has two or more groups, any preliminary contest should include at least three athletes. However, if someone abstained after the arrangement, there may be less than three athletes in the preliminary round.

SW 3. 1. 1.6 If 10 lane can be used in swimming pool competition, the 9th lane will be used when the 800m and1500m freestyle preliminaries are tied for 8th place. The positions of the two athletes in the eighth lane and the ninth lane will be decided by drawing lots. When the third place in the 800m and1500m freestyle preliminaries is the same, use the 9th and 0th lanes. The positions of the three athletes in lanes 8, 9 and 0 will be decided by drawing lots.

SW 3. 1. 1.7 If 10 lane is not used, SW 3.2.3 shall apply.

SW 3. 1.2 Except for the 50m event in the 50m pool (the starting end faces the pool, the first lane should be on the right side of the pool (if there is a 10 lane, the right side is 0). If the number of lanes is odd, the athletes or relay teams with the best performance should be arranged in the middle lane. In other words, if there are six or eight lanes, the best athletes or relay teams should be arranged in the third or fourth lane respectively. In the 10 lane competition, the best athletes are arranged in the fourth lane. The runner with the second best performance is arranged in the left lane, and then the athletes are alternately arranged in the right lane and the left lane according to the order of their registration results. Athletes with the same registration results will arrange the swimming lanes according to the above model by drawing lots.

SW 3. 1.3 When the 50m project is carried out in the 50m pool, the management committee can decide whether to swim from the conventional starting end to the turning end or from the turning end to the starting end according to the existing automatic timing device and the position of the starter. The management committee shall inform the athletes of the decision before the competition. No matter where the departure is arranged, the lane arrangement is arranged according to the method of other events starting at the departure end.

SW 3.2. 1 semi-finals are grouped according to the provisions in SW 3. 1. 1.2.

SW 3.2.2 When it is not necessary to arrange the preliminaries, the swimming lanes shall be arranged according to the provisions of the above clause SW3. 1.2. In case of preliminaries or semi-finals, the swimming lanes shall be arranged according to the results of preliminaries or semi-finals stipulated in SW 3. 1.2.
