Rules of diving competition in world championships
According to the regulations of FINA Diving Technical Committee, all diving competitions in the Olympic Games and the World Cup must be held in preliminaries, semi-finals and finals. In the final, the athletes will compete in the reverse order of the total score. If the elimination system is adopted in the final, the athletes will participate in the following competitions in the reverse order of the total results of the preliminary competition. If the athletes score the same, the order of the competition will be decided by drawing lots.
Different from the single competition, in the Olympic Games, there is no preliminaries in the double competition, and the finals are held directly. Because there are no preliminary results, the order of these teams' appearances is randomly determined by the computer.
