Before, we held preliminary competitions in various classes, and the top five in the competition could enter the finals. I am honored to be in the final. For this final exam, I basically set aside an hour every day to read English, listen to tapes and recite texts.
On the day of the final, my parents and grandma came to the competition site as my relatives and friends to cheer for me. As soon as I got to the preparation room, I began to recite the text as seriously as other contestants. After a while, a teacher came in and told us the rules of the game. Then, we all decide the order of appearance by drawing lots. I got number four. I always thought "four" was my lucky number, so I was very happy. According to the rules, it is a group of three, and I happen to be the first in the second group. The game has started. Three minutes before I went on stage, the teacher decided to draw lots to recite the text. I learned the first lesson. In this short three minutes, I began to prepare again.
Three minutes passed quickly. As soon as I entered the examination room, I was originally confident, but my heart was inexplicably nervous. Later, I saw the smiling face of the judge's teacher as if to say to me, "Don't be afraid, you are the best!" " "Look at mom, dad and grandma. They also gave me a thumbs-up sign. Suddenly, my heart calmed down, and I calmly completed four projects: self-introduction, text memorization, talent display and oral English question and answer. At this time, there was thunderous applause in the venue. Even the judges and teachers kept nodding and saying "Great …". Then I bowed deeply and walked off the stage with my head held high.
I won the first prize after the whole game. I think: this success is not accidental, but through my unremitting efforts.
