The original painting on the ceiling of the cave is difficult to identify because of smoke. There is a brick wooden pavilion in front of the cave, which was built in the 12th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1673) and rebuilt in the first year of Jiaqing (1796). The original buildings in front of the cave, such as the annex hall and the monastery, were destroyed by soldiers during the Tongzhi period (1862- 1874). A Buddhist niche in the north wall of the front building of the grottoes was excavated by the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the statues in the niche were well preserved.
