Temple architecture in Sensoji Temple

This great hall, where Guanyin statue is dedicated, is also called Kannonji. The old church was rebuilt in the second year of Qing 'an (1649), which is a masterpiece and national treasure of a large temple in modern times. At that time, it was burned in the air raid in Tokyo in 1945 (the 20th year of Showa). Now the hall was built with reinforced concrete during the reconstruction of 1958 (Showa 33). There are patio paintings outside the array, such as Dragon Map painted by Yasunari Kawabata (りゅぅし) and Scattering Flowers between Heaven and Man painted by Tomoto.

In the center of the inner array is a palace 6 meters high. The interior of the palace is divided into an anteroom and an Austrian room. There is a hidden image between Austria and Austria, and the front room is Guanyin. When the opening ceremony is held on 65438+February 65438+February 3, and there is a special ceremony to open the light, believers can visit the statue of "standing in the front" here, but the hidden statue is not open to the public. There are statues of Brahma Indra on the left and right sides of the palace, and there are statues of Harraca Ranasa and Alan Wangming on the back and left of the hall. Five Towers-The tower before reconstruction was built in the first year of Qing 'an (1648). It collapsed with our family in the Great Kanto Earthquake and was burned in the air raid in Tokyo in 1945. The current tower was rebuilt in 1973 (Showa 48), with reinforced concrete building and aluminum alloy tile roof. The foundation altar is about 5 meters high and the tower itself is about 48 meters high. There is a memorial hall dedicated to memorial tablets in the altar. On the top floor of the tower, there is a relic from Sri Lanka. Now the main hall of the tower is located on the west side, and it was located on the east side before reconstruction.

Ertianmen (an important cultural property)-located in the east of this temple, it was built towards the east, with an eight-legged door, which was built by cutting off the wife's wood. Built in the fourth year of Yuanhe (16 18), it is a precious building that was not destroyed by World War II. At that time, General Hideyoshi Tokugawa built the Toshogu in Nikko and Asakusa to commemorate his father Tokugawa Ieyasu. This door is a portable door built for Asakusa Dongzhao (Dongzhao was burned in 1642 and was not rebuilt). Now, the door is left and right for two days. Asakusa shrine (an important cultural property)-located in the east of this hall. This shrine honors three people related to Sensoji Temple's pioneering work. After the separation of the Meiji gods and buddhas, they were managed by different legal persons in Sensoji Temple. Refer to Asakusa Shrine for details.

Shuyuan-located in the west of Baomen, where Sensoji Temple monks live. There is a homecoming garden made in Ogilvy. Generally not open to the public.
