The Construction History of Chongfu Temple

Chongfu Temple was built in the second year of Linde, Tang Gaozong (AD 665) by Wei Chijingde, a famous Tang Dynasty.

At that time, the King Kong Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Building, the Ursa Major Hall and the East-West Attached Hall were built, taking shape.

The Liao Dynasty changed to Lin Taishifu, which was called Lin Yayuan and Lin Yayuan.

However, according to legend, there was a flash in the hospital, and the residents were afraid, so they changed the yamen into a monk's house and named it Linya Temple.

Jin Xizong believed in Buddhism. In the third year of Emperor Tong's reign (A.D. 1 143), General Zhai Zhaodu built the Tomi Hall behind the Ursa Major Hall, and soon after that, the Guanyin Hall was built, and the temple finally became the existing scale.

In the second year of Tiande (A.D. 1 150), Jin Hailing Wang Yan Hong Liang gave Chongfu Temple.

Since then, the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties have been rebuilt, expanded and repaired.

After the temple was repaired during Chenghua period in Ming Dynasty, it was changed to Sanbao Hall and Jingwen Hall to Thousand Buddhas Pavilion.

The existing Tomi Hall and Guanyin Hall are the remains of the Jin Dynasty, which has been more than 850 years since. The Sanbao Hall, the Thousand Buddha Pavilion, the East-West Annex Hall, the King Kong Hall and the Bell and Drum Tower were all built in the Ming Dynasty, and the mountain gate was a newly restored imitation of the Ming Dynasty.

Chongfu Temple is an ancient temple in Shuofang. The Buddhist Scripture Pavilion was built in the second year of Linde, Tang Gaozong (AD 665, renamed the Thousand Buddhas Pavilion after renovation in the Ming Dynasty). When I was in Qidan, I was located in Lin Taishi House.

The unification of Liao Dynasty and the restoration of Hejian as a monastery may be the legacy of "building a house as a temple" in Sui and Tang Dynasties. Because of its name, Linya Temple was awarded Chongfu Temple during the Jin Tiande period (A.D.1149-1153).

At present, the Tomi Hall and Guanyin Hall in the temple are made of gold, the mountain gate is in the Qing Dynasty, and the rest are in the Ming Dynasty.

Tomi Temple is the main temple in the temple. Built in the Jin Dynasty (1141-149), it was built by Zhai Zhaodu, the founder of the country. The "Tommy Hall" hanging under the eaves of the temple was the twenty-fourth year of Jin Dading (65438).
