What is the relationship between Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu?

Lu Bu is Dong Zhuo's adopted son.

Historically, Lyu3 bu4 was originally a ministry of Ding Yuan, and was later adopted by Ding Yuan because of his outstanding military exploits. Later, in order to monopolize power, Dong Zhuo bought Lu Bu, killed Ding Yuan and annexed Ding Yuan's army. Lu Bu later became Dong Zhuo's adopted son, but because Dong Zhuo's tyranny was unpopular, Lu Bu finally participated in the assassination of Dong Zhuo.

Lu Bu, alias Jiang Fei, was born in Wuyuan County (now northwest of Maji Town, Jiuyuan District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia), and was a famous soldier in the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Lyu3 bu4 is famous for his bravery, and is known as "Lyu3 bu4 among people, a red rabbit among horses". Dong Zhuo, a native of Lintao (now Min County, Gansu Province) and Yingchuan, was a powerful minister in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. At the end of Emperor Huan of the Han Dynasty, Dong Zhuo was recruited as Yu, and later served as a military Sima under Zhang Huan to crusade against the Qiang people in Hanyang. Bai Langzhong, a former commander of Guangwu County, a captain of Beishu County and a captain of Wuji in the Western Regions, was dismissed for this incident.
