Introduction to FA Cup Rules

The rule of the FA Cup is that football clubs at all levels in England will play one-on-one knockout matches. All competitions will adopt a single-round elimination system. The winner will advance to the next round, and the loser will not be able to continue the game.

All FA member teams (including Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, League One and amateur league teams) include the qualifying stage and the knockout stage. From the first round to the 1/4 final, the home and away games between the two sides are decided by drawing lots.
