In the middle of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty, monk Zijie built the North Peak Pagoda next to Lingshun Temple, and Lingshun Temple became a pagoda. In the Song Dynasty, it was named Lingshun Temple by Song Huizong. During the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple was called the "God of Wealth Temple" because it enshrined five gods of wealth in the early Northern Song Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, it was also called "Huaguang Temple" because of its nickname "Huaguang".
