The semi-final time of the men's team in the Asian Championship is September 6, 2023.

On the evening of September 6, 2023, the Asian Table Tennis Championships came to an end in Pyeongchang, South Korea. With the three victories of Wang, Fan Zhendong and Liang Jingkun, China won the championship with a score of 3-0, and directly qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

This Asian Championship is not only an important intercontinental event in the Paris Olympic cycle, but also a qualifying tournament for the Paris Olympic Games. Team champions and mixed doubles champions will directly get seats in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Therefore, traditional table tennis teams such as China, Japan and South Korea have tried their best to attack the tickets for the Paris Olympic Games.

Looking at the whole world of table tennis, although new forces have risen and outstanding players have emerged one after another, China men's table tennis has always occupied an unshakable position with its strong strength and outstanding performance. Guo Ping last appeared in the Asian Championships in Yogyakarta in 20 19, when China won all seven events.

Strength of Men's Team in 2023 Asian Championship

As the favourite to win the men's team championship in this Asian Championship, China men's table tennis has shown a strong dominance. In the semifinals of the first stage of the men's team competition, China beat Hongkong China in straight sets. The men's team 1/4 final is a focus battle. China men's table tennis ushered in the most weighty opponent since the start of the game, but China, who was played by Fan Zhendong, Wang and Malone, was not greatly hindered and won the game in straight sets.

In the semi-final, China played against the host and the defending champion of the men's team. In this campaign, except for Fan Zhendong's narrowly missed victory through five hard-fought and difficult reversals, neither Wang nor Malone received much resistance. In the end, the national table tennis men's team defeated South Korea 3-0 and entered the men's team final.

The men's team final is also a great test for China men's table tennis. Facing the energetic China Taipei team, compared with the semi-finals, the China team fine-tuned the three singles matches, sending Liang Jingkun to play and giving veteran Malone a rest. In the first set, Wang once again took the lead against Gao. The whole game was extremely intense. The two sides fought five games, and Wang narrowly beat his opponent 3-2.
