Independent school interview

Preparation:

1. Clothing, neat and elegant.

2. Prepare your self-introduction in Chinese and English, and prepare small English topics.

The examiners for the interview are generally composed of professors from the school, who have the right to ask questions. There are no specific problems in the school, only general principles. Every teacher has his own professional background and unique personality, and they will decide whether candidates can be pre-admitted according to their own judgment. There is a chat between examiners and candidates, and the interview topics are random, open and diverse, with few professional questions. An examiner revealed that every professor has his own academic background and perspective. Even the same question, each professor has different purposes and concerns, and there is no way to prepare in advance. Different angles help to achieve the same goal. For example, when examining the examinee's extracurricular reading, some teachers will ask him to list two unforgettable masterpieces, what makes him unforgettable and what ideological realm the works embody. Students may not have thought about these questions at ordinary times, but they can see the level when they ask. In the interview, the examiner will find that some students are prepared in advance, and most of them are prepared by middle school teachers to help candidates. But this kind of preparation is of little practical use, and it is a loss of points for students. This kind of training is often not very subtle and in-depth, the examiner will keep asking questions, and some candidates will come to an abrupt end because they have memorized the prepared answers. If you meet someone who recites the answer, the examiner will interrupt him and ask other questions.

In essence, self-enrollment is to make up for the lack of exam-oriented education. Self-enrollment does not require special preparation, especially interviews. However, in recent years, there are still very few students who are really ready to enroll themselves before the third year of high school. In this way, if you have a more comprehensive understanding of the interview, you can avoid losing points on the technical level.

3. The process of the interview

The interview process of independent enrollment in different schools is very different. The self-enrollment interview generally includes the following contents: lottery grouping, group interview and individual interview.

① Group interview

Group interviews are somewhat similar to group discussions in high school classes. Several students discuss a topic, then choose one person to summarize, and the examiner will observe and record it. Generally speaking, the questions of group interview are suitable for group discussion, which mainly examines the quality of students' division of labor and work ability, thinking and debating ability, etiquette and personal demeanor. For example:

As the staff of the Olympic Organizing Committee, how to promote Olympic products among middle school students? Finally, choose one person to summarize. (2007 Tsinghua University independent enrollment collective interview questions)

Tip: In group interviews, examiners prefer to see those students who are agile and confident but not self-centered. If you can make a clear-headed concluding speech, it will be easier to stand out.

② Personal interview

Personal interview is the core content of self-enrollment interview. There are various forms of questions, some of which require students to prepare for a short time after drawing lots, some require students to answer directly, and some even communicate directly with examiners without drawing lots.

Some individual interview sites are fixed, and two or more examiners inspect a student in one room; Some personal interviews are mobile. Students answer questions from one examiner in one room, and then go to another room to be examined by the next examiner.

③ Additional test

The extra test is a test for literary students. Students applying for art may have to take special exams such as musical instruments, dance and performance.
