The story of this book starts from Liuhua Cave in Dongshan, Fuzhou, and runs through the Han, Tang and Five Dynasties. It is particularly detailed in Kaimin and Wang, which ended from the early Qing Dynasty to the Song and Yuan Dynasties. The content is very complicated, the stories are patched together, lacking systematicness, the concept of time is not rigorous, and the words are not elegant and tame. Obviously, it is out of the mouth of storytellers and caters to the low tastes of citizens and listeners. It is based on some unhealthy ingredients and slanderous statements against ethnic minorities. But Fujian (mainly Fuzhou) has a large number of folk stories, myths and legends and proverbs. This kind of oral literature is worth learning from folklorists, linguists and researchers of Fujian local history and literary history. A few examples are as follows: Shuowen Day: "Min, snake species also." This book retains the myth of snakehead and the story of "Woodenhead in the Mountain", which can provide materials for exploring the legends of primitive society in Fujian ... Accordingly, the author of this book has never been determined since Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It is said that the author of this book is from Longtian Town, Fuqing, and its basis is five-
1. The ancients had the naming habit of "place name+person name". In its model, "what do the villagers want" means "the villagers" with the name "what do they want".
2. There is a roadway in Longtian Town called "Liren Lane (also known as Liren Cave and Liren Lane)", and its name has been used since ancient times.
Nowadays, in Liren Lane, Longtian Town, some old people are still spreading some legends and anecdotes recorded in Du Min's memoirs.
4. In the seventh sentence of the book, "My family is equal to the Nine Immortals, and we practice the Four Mountains", and "My family" means "my ancestors" and "Nine Immortals" means "He's Nine Immortals are in Shizhushan Taoist Academy". My ancestors, like the Nine Immortals of Shizhu Mountain, all have the same surname He. This is consistent with the statement that "it seems that the author has something to do with it" in Fujian Tongzhi Art and Literature Annals of the Republic of China. The custom of "drawing lots for God" in Shizhu Mountain prevailed in the Eastern Han Dynasty, which coincided with the first year of Han Dynasty.
5. Some folklore, historical stories, local anecdotes, customs, places of interest, slang and proverbs, and dialects recorded in the book also exist in Fuqing.
