Lin Wan Art Museum of Wuhan University was designed by Zhu Kun, a famous contemporary architect in China, and donated by Chen Dongsheng, an alumnus of Wuhan University. The total construction area is about 84 10.3m2, of which nearly 50% is hidden underground. The site is located at the intersection of Keji Road and Xuefu Road on the west side of Luojiashan Mountain in Wuhan University. It is the central area of teaching, scientific research, administrative management and student activities, and also the central area of Wuhan University campus. A Little Square will be built next to the museum, which is connected with the central lake of the campus and is expected to become a new landscape belt of the school.
Upon completion, the museum will preserve some precious cultural relics handed down from the school 100 years, including some collections of Mr. Wang Shijie, the first president of the National Wuhan University, and precious cultural relics donated by previous alumni.
