1 Yesterday, I went to Ankang to attend the graduation defense of RTVU law. The defense process was a little tense, but it went smoothly. Chatting with my classmates after the defense, I realized that many students didn't answer the questions well in the defense. I sum up my experiences with my classmates into several articles, which can be used for reference by friends who are preparing for graduation defense:
First, the topic of graduation thesis should not be too big, the scope should not be too wide, as specific as possible, and it is best to be related to your work and life;
Second, it is best to write the paper yourself, and you can find some relevant information on the Internet for reference, preferably with examples from work and life;
Third, after the paper is written, you should understand the knowledge related to the content and prepare your defense;
Fourth, don't be nervous in the process of defense. Mandarin should be standard, and the speed of speech should be moderate, neither too fast nor too slow.
The fifth is politeness. At the beginning of the defense, you should say hello to the teacher and introduce your personal information. Finally, you have to say that my answer is over, teacher.
Sixth, the defense is divided into two parts. First, the general content of the paper is introduced in concise language, and then the teacher asks questions according to the paper, usually three questions, and answers the questions after five minutes;
Seventh, to answer the teacher's questions, you must speak comprehensively and give some examples as far as possible to make the teacher feel that your paper is in-depth and practical; If the answer is not comprehensive, the teacher will ask some questions temporarily. In this case, you must not be nervous, clear your mind, know how much to answer, and never get stuck.
These are some of my own experiences, and I don't know if they are right. I think it's my own boring pen.
Usually, several teachers of related majors ask you some questions according to your paper, and at the same time listen to your personal explanation to understand your familiarity with the paper. Generally speaking, all students should follow the following steps:
1, first explain the introduction of personal papers;
2. Explain with your paper while demonstrating;
3. Answer the teacher's questions (it should be noted that the teacher may ask questions at any time, not necessarily until the end). By combining the above steps, you may already know what you should do. But I also want to remind you of the following points, which are easily overlooked by ordinary people and are also very effective methods:
1, be sure to show confidence.
The defense teacher will always stare at your eyes, and they may really want to see your flaws: self-confidence will effectively break any attempt they make. The only way to make you confident is to look at the paper yourself and understand the principles and steps of the paper. At the same time, keep your eyes on the teacher, try to stand and answer, and keep your speech speed moderate and slow. These measures can make you look confident!
2. Anticipate the questions the teacher will ask in advance
If you have prepared all the questions asked by the teacher in advance, what is there to be afraid of answering? Before actual combat, it is enough to sum up your own design, recall the difficulties and key points in production, and write 10- 15 questions in combination with your own papers (the general number of defense questions is 3-6). Of course, it is more important to prepare the answers to these questions!
General teachers can ask questions for computer professional defense, such as the following questions:
Software class: How is this function realized? What kind of technology is used? What data structure is used? What did you write and what did you do automatically?
Hardware category: What kind of equipment do you use? What are the characteristics of this equipment?
3. Are you ready? Finally, let yourself practice all the above three steps. Don't feel unnecessary. It turns out that this is very effective.
Finally, remind all students to pay attention to manners and say hello when they go on stage. Ask the teacher's permission before you begin to tell; After the defense, thank all the teachers, no matter how reluctant you are. Remember, it is very good for you to leave a polite and confident image for the teacher!
Today, our class began a significant thesis defense. Before, we have been very uneasy about the details of the hearsay defense. Although the college's review of academic year papers and practice reports is very loose, even a little procedural, thesis defense is a summary and evaluation of a person's professional knowledge level, academic development level and ability to observe and analyze events. Therefore, although everyone said that there should be no worries and the school would not embarrass people, everyone still prepared privately with great care and became familiar with their own papers, literature reviews and references, as well as some knowledge points about the papers.
These three days are holidays in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Last night, the school library was no longer packed and scattered in the study room of the library, but half of them were fresh graduates preparing for graduation thesis defense. The white materials are neatly placed on the table, and everyone is sitting on the edge, and some are still biting their pens and deep in thought. Zhao She strives for perfection, and her defense is just around the corner, and she is still looking for information on the search machine to enrich her thesis. I swaggered away from him, deliberately trying to get his attention, but he ignored me, making me commit suicide and making the others look like monsters. Under reflection, what is more sad is that compared with Zhao She's diligent and persistent pursuit of perfection and rigorous scholarship, my learning attitude is really too incorrect. It's not that I don't like learning, it's not that I'm not as good at perseverance as others, and I don't pay attention to the cultivation of good study habits since I was a child. Back in the dormitory, we were all a little surprised to see Xiaojun on the phone, but we believed that he was so relaxed at this time because of his confident and calm mentality, so everyone did not hesitate to praise him for being so relaxed when everyone was a little hesitant, having the heroic demeanor of doing great things, enviing his romantic charm, and even risking his personality to guarantee that he would enter the second round of large-scale defense, which made us find that everyone was so relaxed. The teacher said that excellent papers can enter the second round of defense. ) He is getting carried away, too. Seeing his smiling attitude and trying to push it back, everyone began to flatter him quickly ... He was embarrassed and made a second call. But to be honest, half of our words do contain affirmation of his knowledge and learning attitude. In the evening, we turn off the lights on time according to the regulations reached in the dormitory that day. Lying in bed, I found that the pace of my life can be so compact. Just a little lonely. It is late at night. Are you okay? After lights out, Zhao stood on the balcony with a piece of paper printed in the evening that she thought the teacher might ask questions. In the dim light, he began to vividly imagine the scene of the thesis defense the next day. He danced and said that the answers to every question on the paper were well-founded, forceful and loud as ever, which shocked his roommates at the gate. Although the door was closed and it was drizzling outside, he could still imagine it. Students who ask for progress should take this as an example!
At 8: 30 today, everyone came to the third floor of the science and technology building on time. We have just arrived, and the time has not yet arrived, but students from three classrooms and three groups have all arrived. In the past, our dormitory was the earliest, but today we are the latest to reply. Everyone is very engaged in preparation, few people are chatting, and few people are walking, silently looking at their own papers and moving their lips thoughtfully. When I graduated from junior college, I was not chosen to take part in the defense, because I felt a little awed by the arrangement of tables and chairs and the atmosphere in the classroom.
The draw has begun. My roommates and I set up a defense classroom according to Mr. Huang's meaning. Three desks and chairs are pulled out in the middle of the classroom and arranged in a row. This is where the defense teacher sits, and then there is a table between the two tables, facing the teacher's seat. Other desks and chairs regularly take pictures around the classroom, which is convenient for defensive students to exchange in and out quickly. When we finished clearing the table, there were only three or two bills left on the table. Look at the numbers: 1, 4, 3, 15, 19, 20. Whether in the front or in the back. I have some doubts about the fairness of the lottery just now. But it doesn't matter if you have to be stabbed sooner or later, but the pressure of the first defense is great, so I chose number four. There is a girl who smokes very late and is close to home. She took the note with the number 19 and said that she didn't want to wait until the afternoon to reply, so she exchanged with me.

In the graduation report, Mr. XX, the chief planner of the Olympic Park, questioned the thinking of my thesis: Why should the Ming Tombs, the Acropolis and other cases with emperors and generals as the main body of sacrifice be taken as the research object? How do these cases help to express the spirit of the martyrs cemetery in the Central Soviet Area and how do they help to reflect the spiritual realm of proletarian revolutionaries?
I used my quick wits to come up with such an answer: Tian Zhuangzhuang, the director of the film Wu Qingyuan, stressed that although the script of the film was completely adapted from Mr. Wu Qingyuan's autobiography The Spirit of China, it was not an attempt to restore history with images, but an attempt to restore the spiritual realm. Similarly, my design also refers to the pattern of the imperial mausoleum building to restore the spiritual outlook of the martyrs cemetery, and the spiritual realm has certain convergence when it is restored to the "human" level. Teacher XX insisted on denying it and clearly pointed out that I don't understand why more than 200,000 people died.
In fact, I think quietly that Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the revolutionary forerunner of the Ming Dynasty, ended the feudal dynasty of more than 2,000 years, and his mausoleum was still completed according to the spatial sequence of the imperial tomb: the archway, the tunnel, the mausoleum gate, the monument pavilion, the Fangcheng Minglou and Baoding. Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the founder of New China and the great proletarian mentor, was also built according to Lincoln Memorial Hall. The reason is that, as Mr. Cheng XX said, the old system completely collapsed and the new system failed to be established. The designer is still traveling in an unknown place. In the final analysis, the root of the problem is that in this embarrassing and alternating era, where should China's national form go in the new era?
Obviously, this is not something I can solve alone. To some extent, I became a victim of the times. At the same time, I feel a great responsibility, and I will never relax. More importantly, I must make a hundredfold effort to take the road ahead. Bottom line: the revolution has not yet succeeded, and comrades still need to work hard!
The author of the paper should pass the defense in order. After submitting the paper, he should not feel relieved, but should spend time actively preparing his defense. So what should the respondent prepare before replying?
First, write a brief introduction to the graduation thesis, the main contents should include the title of the thesis, the name of the instructor, the motivation of choosing the topic, the main arguments, arguments and writing experience of the thesis, and the theoretical and practical significance of this topic.
Second, we should be familiar with the full text of the paper we have written, especially the contents of the main part and the conclusion part, and make clear the basic viewpoints and the basic basis of the paper; Understand the exact meaning of the main concepts used in this paper and the main contents of the basic principles used; At the same time, we should carefully examine and repeatedly scrutinize whether there are contradictions, fallacies, one-sided or ambiguous places in the article, and whether there are any places that contradict the party's principles and policies. If you find the above problems, you should make full preparations-supplement, amendment, explanation, etc. As long as we carefully fortify and plug all loopholes, we can be confident and calmly fight in the defense process.
Third, we should know and master the knowledge and materials related to our thesis. To what extent has the academic community studied this topic? What are the controversies at present? How many representative views are there? What are the representative works and articles? What kind of views and reasons do you prefer? Sources and versions of important citations; The sources and channels of demonstration materials and so on. These knowledge and materials should be well understood and mastered before the defense.
Fourthly, what other problems should be involved or solved in the paper, but they can't be touched because they are unable to do so, and what other problems are not involved or rarely involved in the paper, but they have been contacted in the research process and have some opinions, but they are not written because they feel irrelevant to the center of the paper.
Fifth, for the authors of excellent papers, it is necessary to find out which viewpoints are inherited or borrowed from other people's research results, which are their own innovative viewpoints, and how these new viewpoints and new opinions are formed. For the above contents, the author should make full preparations before replying, write an outline after thinking and sorting out, and keep it in his mind so that he can have a clear idea and answer calmly when replying.
