Uber, whose full name is Betty Uber, was a famous British female badminton player in 1930s. During the period of 1930- 1949, she won the women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles in the All England Badminton Championships for many times. After retirement, Mrs Uber still has a soft spot for badminton. In order to promote the development of badminton, she officially donated a commemorative cup made by Maipiy and Weber to the International Badminton Federation at the Council meeting of 1956, and personally presided over the lottery ceremony of the first Uber Cup competition. This cup is 18cm high, and its body is similar to a globe. There is a badminton-like model at the top of the globe, and a female athlete with a racket stands at the top of the model. The words "International Women's Badminton Champion Challenge Cup organized by the International Badminton Federation 1956" are engraved around his base. Uber Cup is also called "World Women's Badminton Team Championship". The Uber Cup is the same as the Thomas Cup. Before 1982, it was held every three years, and the competition adopted the best-of-seven system. Starting from 1984, it is held every two years, adopting the best of five games system. 3. World Badminton Championships. 1934, the International Badminton Federation was established in Britain, which was the first worldwide badminton organization. 1978, the World Badminton Federation was established. It was named in memory of Dick Su Diman, the founder of Indonesian Badminton Association and former vice president of International Badminton Federation. The trophy is badminton-shaped, and the cup is made of pure silver with pure gold plating on its surface. The cup is 80 cm high, 50 cm wide and weighs 12 kg. 5. All England Badminton Championship. The All England Badminton Championship is one of the oldest and most important badminton events in the world. 1899, sponsored by the British Badminton Association. 6. The World Badminton Grand Prix Finals is an annual badminton competition organized by the International Badminton Federation.
