First, League of Legends MSI
League of Legends MSI is one of the League of Legends global finals, and it is also the annual event of the world's top professional leagues such as LCK, LPL, LMS, LEC and PCS. MSI is the abbreviation of Mid-seasoninvitation, which means "Intermediate Tournament Invitation".
This activity is usually held before the League of Legends Global Finals. Its purpose is to let the excellent teams of major professional leagues have an exchange and confrontation in the middle of the season, and also provide an important ranking and qualification for the League of Legends global finals.
League of Legends MSI was first held in Tallahassee, Florida, USA on 20 15. Since then, top teams from six regions have participated in this competition every year, including LCK in South Korea, LPL in China, LEC in Europe, LCS in North America, LMS in Taiwan Province Province and PCS in Southeast Asia. They competed for the highest honor in the world on MSI.
Second, the microsatellite competition system
1, group match: In the group match, all teams are divided into two groups, each group contains 5 teams. Each team in each group must play a game with each team in other groups. This means that each group will play 20 games.
The competition system adopts the double round robin system, and each team will play against its opponents twice. The rule of the group match is that every match is BO 1 (one game decides the outcome). In the final ranking, the top four teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage.
2. The knockout stage consists of four stages: pre-season, semi-final, final and final. In the preseason, four of the eight teams will have a single elimination match, and the winning team will advance to the semi-finals.
BO5 (best of three games) is adopted in the semi-final knockout, and the double-loss knockout system is adopted in the competition, that is, each team has two chances. In the finals, the winners of the first two stages will compete for the MSI championship with BO5 (three wins).
