Zhuoxi Temple is located on Yao Feng Bainiuyan (commonly known as Dongyan) in the eastern suburb of Miancheng, Chaoyang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. Zhuoxi Temple, formerly known as Bainiuyan, was built by a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty. During the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, it was expanded into Zhuoxi Temple; Jinding Temple was built in the Southern Song Dynasty; Shiyan Temple was built in Ming Dynasty.
