What god is Honggong Temple?

Hong Kung Miu Temple is dedicated to the real King Kang Gong.

Confucius Temple is located in Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shandong, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and Macau. There are also Kang Wang Road in Guangzhou, Kangwang Township in Yueyang, Hunan, Dongkangwang Village, Xikangwang Village and Kangwangling in Jining, Shandong. Many people in the Pearl River Delta also believe in Kang Gong.

Kang Wang has many appellations, such as, Kang Gong, Marshal Kang and Zhen Jun Kang. And there are many titles, such as "Marshal Benevolence", "Great Benevolence", "Wei Ji Li Shanfu should serve the heroic king", "The land is urgent, the spirit is alive, and the loyal marshal can be destroyed" and "The emperor blocked the road, and the fruit did not flow."

The origin of Kanggong Zhenjun:

It is recorded in the Biography of Kangbao Descendants in the History of Song Dynasty that Kanggong Zhenjun was a native of Luoyang, Henan Province, and his ancestors were all generals who devoted themselves to the country. Kang Gong Zhen Jun made many meritorious military achievements in the Liao War, and gained a great reputation. Later, in a battle, he would rather die than retreat and fight with the soldiers. Finally, all the arrows were shot out, but reinforcements never arrived, and Kang and his men died heroically.

Kang Gong Zhen Jun is a Kang Wang widely circulated among the people, and this conclusion is also recorded in historical books such as Jiangxi Tongzhi Xinjian County Records, Ganlong Taihe County Records and China Folk Immortals in the Qing Dynasty. The earliest historical document is that in the eighth year of Song Chun, Ouyang Shoudao, a great need in Ji 'an, Jiangxi Province, wrote "The Temple Record" for Baisha Lingyou Temple at the invitation of Jizhou Government.
