Volleyball rules

The rules of volleyball are: the size of the court, the number of teams, kick-off, scoring rules, foul rules, winning or losing judgments, etc.

1, stadium size

The indoor volleyball court is rectangular, with a length of 18m and a width of 9m. The size of the outdoor volleyball court can be different.

2. Number of teams

Each team usually consists of six players, three in the front row and three in the back row. At the same time, each team can have substitutes, but only a limited number of substitutes can enter the game.

Step 3 start

Before the game starts, toss a coin or draw lots to decide which team will kick off. After the kick-off, the ball rights rotate.

4. Scoring rules

The competition adopts 25-point system (sometimes it can be 2 1 point system). Only the server can score. In the first two (usually three) innings of each game, the team must win at least 2 points. The third game (if necessary) can be a deciding game or a score of 15.

5, foul rules

There are many foul rules in volleyball, including receiving foul, attacking foul, defending foul and boundary foul. A foul will cause the opposing team to score points and exchange the ball rights.

6. Judgment of winning or losing

The team that wins the required number of games wins the game. It's usually two out of three. If the two teams reach the maximum number of matches in the same match, a tie breaker will be held.
