Rules of 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup Qualifiers

The rules of the 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament are as follows:

1. Thirty-two teams were decided through six window preliminaries and divided into eight groups with four teams in each group. A, B, C, D, the first, fourth, fifth and eighth gears 1 team, and E, F, G and H, the second, third, sixth and seventh gears 1 team. The classification and geographical location of each team are the key points of grouping; Except European teams can be in the same group, teams from other continents are divided into different groups in the World Cup group stage to ensure the strength balance of each group.

2. Each team plays against the other three teams in the same group once, winning 1 game for 2 points and losing 1 game for 1 point. After three rounds of competition, the top two volleyball teams qualified. The advanced teams will be eliminated in the next round, and other teams that have not qualified will be qualified for ordinary qualifying.

3. There will be seven places for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the 2023 Men's Basketball World Cup, of which Asia 1 place will be won by the highest ranked Asian team in this World Cup.
