History of frigate Ruijin
1949 On April 23rd, the Second Fleet of the Coastal Defence Uprising, led by Captain An and commanded by Major General, was bombed and sunk by the Kuomintang Air Force (Republic of China Air Force) in Yanziji on 28th. On February 24th, 1953, 1953, the goods were picked up and sent to Shanghai for decoration. Re-commissioned on 1955 and renamed as "Ruijin" to commemorate the original gunboat sunk by enemy planes. 1990 retired. The coastal defense ship was built by Japan in the late World War II. They are poorly equipped and of poor quality. After the war, China acquired 34 ships of various types, including 17 coastal defense ship, which was dismantled before coming to China.
