Each of the 30 teams in each draft has a draft right (not counting the deal). In the draft order, the last round 16 (that is, the team that entered the playoffs) and the second round are reversed according to the record, and the first round 14 is decided by drawing lots. Of course, the worse the score, the more likely it is to be the champion.
For example, this year, the Celtics ranked first in the regular season, so both the first round and the second round ranked 30th. Then the draft position of rookie J·R· Giddens selected in the first round is the 30th in the first round.
