Mulian is the most revered disciple of the Buddha and has the highest mana. Manglietia is a filial and compassionate person. He sincerely worshipped Buddha since he was a child, and later became a monk. He practiced Buddhism devoutly, and his practice became more and more profound, even with the ability of magical eyes.
Because he missed his dead mother, he used his magical powers to see the insatiable karma of his mother before her death and the evil spirits that fell after her death, which made her suffer from hunger and ghosts hanging upside down in hell.
Mu Yulian finally went to hell, turned it into food with her own divine power, and filled her mother's stomach with bowls of rice. But her mother's greed did not change. When she saw the food coming, she was afraid that other evil spirits would take it away. When the food is greedy, it immediately turns into charcoal and can't be swallowed.
Although Mu Yulian has magical power, as the son of human beings, she can't save her mother, and she is very painful. Seeing her mother's suffering, she was really in pain, so she immediately asked the Buddha for advice to save her from her suffering and asked the Buddha what to do.
Buddha said, "Your mother was selfish and mean before her death, and she couldn't do good deeds. She was so guilty before she died that she got this retribution. You can't save her alone. July 15 is the last day of summer to settle down and practice, and Buddhism is all good. On July 15, you must prepare all kinds of fruits for monks from all over the world to show your support. In this way, the power of the United Monk God can not only save your mother from the sea of suffering as soon as possible, but also save other parents from the sea of suffering. " The Buddha read the Bible of bonsai to him and told him to make a bonsai for his mother on July 15th.
So Mulian followed the instructions of the Buddha, held a dharma meeting, recited scriptures and gave alms, and finally saved his mother's soul. Forget other people's parents. Buddhism is called "Lanhu" Buddhism. In modern times, offering melons and fruits and Chen Hippo as sacrifices to ancestors certainly means tasting new things, and it is also a legacy of basin sacrifices.
