Brief introduction of Majiacun

Majia Village, located in the southeast of Hejin City, is three kilometers away from the city center, with superior geographical location, convenient natural conditions and outstanding people. * * * The land area 1.200 mu, and the cultivated land area is more than 900 mu. Village * * * has three residents' groups, with 294 households 1250 people, 900 young and middle-aged laborers and 43 people in party member. The villagers mainly grow wheat and vegetables, which is a typical pure agricultural village.

The village has a long history, simple folk customs and competitive spirit, which has been passed down from generation to generation. What is more gratifying is that since the new cultural activity square center was built in 2009, the whole village has taken on a new look. Gardens, party and government organs, old-age associations, agricultural union activities, basketball courts and chessboards are all available for entertainment and fitness.

In the development of rural economy, we should actively adjust the industrial structure, establish an agricultural production system for planting greenhouse vegetables, take measures such as variety selection, soil fertilization, technical training and expert on-site guidance, and adopt the model of "base+cooperative" to gradually build our village into a vegetable production and sales base. A cultural activity square was built and equipped with fitness equipment. Every year in July 1 Party Building Festival and1Double Ninth Festival in 1999, the branch village committee will hold various cultural activities such as singing competitions, singing operas, tree planting parties and basketball competitions, which greatly enrich the cultural life of the masses and improve the construction of spiritual civilization.
