What is the relationship between ssg and Geng?

Geng is the renamed ssg team. In s7 season, Samsung Group, the sponsor of ssg team, announced that it would withdraw its capital from League of Legends, so ssg team began to replace new sponsors in Korea. Finally, before the start of the s8 season, ssg team successfully changed its sponsor and changed its name to Geng team. ssg team became history, but Geng team still inherited the history of ssg team and became Samsung team in the new era.
