Examination is an important part of teaching activities and the main form to test students' knowledge level, learning ability and teachers' teaching level. The invigilation work related to the exam is the key to ensure the smooth progress of the exam and truly assess the actual level of students and teachers. At present, there are many problems in the invigilation work in colleges and universities, which lead to the serious cheating of students, the formality of exams, the inability to guarantee the fairness and justice of exams, and the extremely poor atmosphere of exams, which correspondingly brings bad learning atmosphere. Invigilation is the main guarantee of examination style and the main way to cultivate college students' good study style. Therefore, this paper discusses the problems existing in the current invigilation work in order to put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for improving the current invigilation work in colleges and universities.

First, the current problems in the invigilation work in colleges and universities

1. Some invigilators have a bad attitude towards invigilation.

At present, influenced by social atmosphere and university enrollment expansion, college students cheat in exams from time to time, and cheating success has become a skill to show off. Many students' morality and values are seriously distorted, and the integrity test has become a pedantic performance. Considering the students' future, the invigilator is afraid and unwilling to arrest them and report them to the school for punishment. If he catches a student, at most, he will give a warning or hint and confiscate cheating tools such as entrainment. Some course invigilators are also teaching teachers. Because the teaching teacher is worried that the students' failure rate is too high, they will show that their teaching level is too low and they are more tolerant of college students' cheating. In the long run, students will become more and more courageous, and the test style will become worse and worse. Students who study the same will not get higher scores in cheating exams than those who don't. Finally, students begin to cheat, forming a vicious circle.

Some teachers are unwilling to invigilate and find someone to replace them without the permission of colleges and schools. Some teachers are late for invigilation, and go out to make phone calls or chat in the examination room during the exam. Before entering the examination room, students did not carefully check their ID cards and admission tickets, and did not carefully check the entrainment of students. Students' exam seats are not strictly determined by lottery, but are allowed to sit at will. The number of test papers was not counted before the end of the examination, which led to individual students leaving the examination room with test papers and other items that were forbidden to be taken out of the examination room. All these conditions create conditions for cheating.

2. School examination rules and regulations are separated from implementation.

National, provincial and school-level examinations put forward strict requirements for examination invigilators, and the school has also formulated corresponding examination regulations and put forward various norms for invigilators and students. However, these regulations have not been effectively implemented in the implementation process. For the national examination, because the school is worried that too many students who cheat will cancel the examination center and the school leaders will be punished, it is often tolerated in the implementation process, but the students and teachers who cause major examination accidents will not be dealt with. Teachers who catch more cheating students will not be praised by the school, but will be criticized by the college and the school, because this will affect the image of the school and the year-end evaluation of the college. Therefore, fewer and fewer teachers are seriously invigilating.

3. The arrangement of invigilation is unreasonable

Many colleges and universities think that teachers' invigilation is voluntary labor and does not give teachers any remuneration. Due to the enrollment expansion of colleges and universities, the number of classes and the number of new national, provincial and school-level examinations have increased. A teacher will invigilate about 15 times a semester and 30 times a year. The workload of invigilators has increased without corresponding remuneration, which has led many teachers to take a coping attitude towards invigilation. At the same time, the examination arrangements of schools and colleges are not reasonable enough. Some departments adopt egalitarianism, and each teacher has to invigilate several times. Teachers with fewer exam courses are bound to be dissatisfied, thinking that they have paid more labor in vain and perfunctory about invigilation.

4. The academic staff is busy and the invigilation work is not in place.

The educational administrators of colleges and schools are the arrangers and invigilators of invigilation. Due to the trivial work and busy affairs of the academic staff, there may be some problems in the arrangement and supervision of the examination. First, the invigilation notice is not in place. Educational administration personnel only send text messages in groups, do not call, and do not ask teachers to sign for confirmation. Second, the notice is too early. One week or even ten days before the exam, rather than the day before the exam, caused many teachers to forget to supervise. Third, for large-scale exams, such as CET-4 and CET-6, computer exams and so on. Due to the large number of students and the heavy work of arranging exams, it is easy to cause the phenomenon that the names of candidates do not match the seats or even the classrooms, and it will also bring many difficulties to invigilators.

Second, the problems and countermeasures of invigilation work

1. Strict invigilation procedures, adhere to the inspection system.

The invigilator teachers must fulfill their invigilation duties according to the requirements of the country, province and school, and be serious and responsible in terms of time arrangement, collection of examination papers, collection of examination equipment, examination before students enter the examination room, examination during the examination and examination after the examination, and regard invigilation as a sacred mission, so as to realize the important significance of invigilation in forming a good examination style and study style. Examination accidents caused by teachers' personal reasons should be linked to teachers' year-end assessment, combined with professional title evaluation and further study, and given corresponding punishment as an example. Teachers who want to find someone to invigilate themselves must find teachers in their own disciplines, and at the same time find the academic affairs office, the competent leaders and the school academic affairs office and the leaders of the academic affairs office to complete the replacement procedures. They are not allowed to find someone to replace them without authorization Due to lax invigilation, students cheat seriously, and if they are reported by candidates or found by patrol inspection, they will be punished accordingly after investigation by the academic affairs office of colleges and schools.

It is necessary to strictly implement the patrol inspection system and appoint serious and responsible people as patrol inspectors. Patrol personnel should patrol each examination room and patrol many times. Teachers with invigilation problems should be pointed out immediately and corrected by the patrol personnel. Examination accidents should be reported to the academic affairs office of the school for handling, and should not be tolerated because of human relations.

2. Strictly implement and improve the rules and regulations of school examination and invigilation.

Schools should not be lenient to students because they are worried about the source of students, but lenient to students because they are worried about the employment rate of students. In many schools, the most serious punishment for cheating students is only one year's probation, and the punishment can be revoked next year. Unreasonable rules and regulations and lax implementation are the fundamental reasons for students' cheating in exams, which also seriously affects teachers' invigilation work and greatly increases the difficulty of teachers' invigilation work. For cheating candidates, it is necessary to strictly implement the rules and regulations of cheating in elective courses and compulsory courses. Only by strictly implementing the Regulations on Handling Examination Violations can we eliminate the spreading cheating atmosphere in colleges and universities across the country and reduce the burden of invigilation for teachers.

Teachers who find cheating on a large scale and catch more cheating students should be rewarded and inclined in the year-end assessment and professional title evaluation. In case of large-scale cheating, the school can't hide. We should truthfully report to the higher authorities, adhere to the principle of seeking truth from facts, and the higher authorities should make corresponding treatment after actual investigation and verification, and we can't remove the test center, otherwise it will only lead to greater concealment. The same is true of the teaching department. Schools can't cancel the evaluation right of teachers just because there are a large number of cheating students, otherwise the system will be perfunctory.

3. Give the invigilator corresponding remuneration and arrange the invigilator reasonably.

For invigilators, we should adhere to the principle of more work and more pay, and give teachers corresponding remuneration for each invigilator, such as one invigilator 100 ~ 200 yuan. Only in this way can teachers' invigilation enthusiasm be aroused, and they can't just talk about obligations without talking about rights. In the case of reasonable remuneration, many teachers may change from the original aversion to invigilation to the willingness to invigilate, and regard invigilation as a source of income. This measure can solve the problems of teachers' perfunctory invigilation, uneven sense of responsibility, easy to cause students to cheat and exam accidents, and teachers' enthusiasm will naturally improve.
