Single skating is a figure skating competition.

It is divided into men's single skating and women's single skating. The content of the competition originally included three items: prescribed graphics, program creation and free skating. The Congress of the International Skating Federation 1988 decided to cancel the specified number of competitions from 1 July 9901,which is only better than the other two events. It has been nearly a hundred years since the graphic competition was stipulated. Although it has been cancelled as the content of the competition, it is still the technical basis of single skating.
