In my mind, I also entered Sensoji Temple from Ertianmen last time. Next to Asakusa Shrine when you entered from Ertianmen? A shrine in Japan? The God of City God, similar to China, is dedicated to some people who were virtuous in ancient times or made contributions in the past. This shrine honors three people related to Sensoji Temple Caochuang Temple. Japanese local custom shrines usually celebrate happy events. For example, when children are 3 years old, 5 years old and 7 years old (girls are 3 years old and 5 years old), parents will lead their children to wear traditional kimonos and go to the shrine very formally to pray for the blessing of the gods. On the same day, I happened to meet a couple and two daughters wearing kimonos and praying.
? Next to the shrine is this great hall-the place where Guanyin statue is dedicated, so it is also called Kannonji.
This temple is the main body of Sensoji Temple, and believers from all over the world come here to worship Guanyin. It is said to be very effective! According to the tour guide, the Guanyin Bodhisattva enshrined in this hall is an intrauterine Buddha, so it is particularly effective. Why is it called intrauterine Buddha? It is said that temples in Sensoji Temple were originally built by fishermen while fishing. The golden Guanyin is only 5 cm high. The local people built a tower on the spot to worship, and the golden statue was hidden in the big statue, which is the hidden image, that is, the Buddha in the belly.
In Japan, there is one more process to go to a Buddhist temple than in China. There is a pool to purify the body and mind in front of every temple. Be sure to wash your hands with a spoon before entering the temple to worship Buddha. Wash your left hand first to show cleanliness, then your right hand to show cleanliness, and then spit with water to show cleanliness. The temple is a solemn place. It must be quiet, clean and sincere, and praying for the bodhisattva can be effective. This moral is quite good, very ceremonial.
? Last time I went to Asakusa, I didn't understand these rules, but I did it anyway. Even in Japan, worship ceremonies are different. There is no need to bow your head. Generally speaking, I bow with my hands folded twice, then stand up, high-five twice, and then bow with my hands folded 1 time. Throw a little money when praying and wishing. 5 yuan is 10 yuan or 100 yuan, no matter how much, just be sincere. On the left side of this hall, the lottery, just like in China, is a barrel-shaped sign. Shake it, your brand will come out first, and it is convenient to check the brand. All drawers are marked with codes, and you can get the cards according to the corresponding codes. The front of the sign is in Chinese and Japanese, and the back is in Korean and English, because Tokyo is an international metropolis, and Sensoji Temple is the most famous ancient temple in Tokyo, with 30-40 million tourists from all over the world every year.
On the left front of this temple is a five-story stupa, which is not open to the public. It is said that the top floor is dedicated to Buddhist relics from Sri Lanka.
Opposite the main entrance of this hall is Zhou Xiao Town. I don't know what it is for. It is said that the official name is Baomen.
Zhongjianshi Street is one of the oldest commercial names in Japan. There are nearly 100 kinds of local products and food on both sides of the 250-meter-long road. There are bustling tourists all year round, which is very lively. This is a good place to choose souvenirs.
Leimen is the symbol of Sensoji Temple, officially named as "the Gate of Storm", commonly known as "Leimen". It was burnt down in the first year of Qing Ying (1865) and rebuilt with reinforced concrete after 1960 (Showa 35), about 1 century. Inside the door is a big lantern presented by industrialist Kōnosuke Matsushita as a reward for Asakusa Guanyin's recovery after praying. It is the "Leimen" lantern printed on various souvenirs. There is a dragon carved under the lantern, and tourists touch the dragon carving to pray.
Asakusa is the birthplace of Tokyo, and Sensoji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Theoretically, Leimen should be the main entrance of Sensoji Temple. Since I entered from Ertianmen, my introduction sequence started from Ertianmen.
