The predecessor of DWG is Phantom Game. In May of 20 17, he won the 20 17CKR Summer Championship together with GRF, runner-up of LCK this season, and BtC, who is now participating in the weightlifting competition. Then the team changed its name to DAMWON Gaming and started the tour of the second league. This spring, DWG ranked second only to GRF in the regular season, but lost to Winners in the first round of the playoffs (it was an eight-game winning streak before) and lost the opportunity to participate in the weightlifting competition.
In the 20 18 League of Legends Korea Challenge Summer League (CKR Summer Tournament for short), DWG won ten games in a row, and finally won the regular season championship with a proud record of 13 1 negative, and directly entered the LCK lifting competition, where it swept BBQ 2-0 and 3: 1 0.
