08-09 Champions League quarter-final draw time

The draw for the Champions League quarter-final will be held in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday, March 20th. With Manchester United and Arsenal knocking out their Italian rivals on Wednesday, England have four seats in the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League.

Defending champion Manchester United beat Inter Milan 2-0 at home today with a total score of 2-0. Arsenal and Rome, home and away 1-0, eliminated Red Wolf by penalty shootout, and the two teams joined hands with Chelsea and Liverpool to advance to the quarterfinals. Barcelona and Villarreal also advanced smoothly, while Atletico Madrid from La Liga was eliminated by Porto because of poor away goals. Bayern Munich beat Sporting Lisbon in Portugal to enter the quarterfinals with a total score of 12- 1. The draw for the quarter-finals will not have to follow the principle of avoiding teams from the same country.

Decisive battle at Olympic Stadium

The ceremony is scheduled to start at UEFA headquarters on Friday 12 CET, and will be presided over by UEFA Secretary-General david taylor and Rome Ambassador. The first leg of the quarter-finals will be held on April 7/8, and the second leg will be held the following week. The four winning teams will determine their opponents in the semi-finals-the semi-finals will also be decided in this lottery ceremony. The semi-finals will be held on April 28/29 and May 5/6, and the final will be held at Rome Olympic Stadium at 20: 45 CET on Wednesday, May 27.
