In Dali, Big Judy's first week of school was like this. ....

On Monday, August 3 1, Big Judy officially started school here in Dali. I never dreamed that our study tour life of "traveling separately and growing together" actually moved from Thailand to Yunnan five years later. ......

Big Judy is studying in Guo Mao, which is becoming more and more famous in Dali in recent years. The students in the school mainly come from new Dali families all over the country, especially from Beishangguang. As mentioned in the last tweet, my friend Dad Grey and his younger brother have moved from Shanghai, and they are both studying in Guo Mao. A week before school, I met the founder of Guo Mao and talked for a whole morning. I learned that Guo Mao combines the teaching characteristics of Reggio (mainly in kindergarten and lower grades) and IB (mainly in upper grades of primary schools), and these two international education systems are also my favorite. I have mentioned IB many times. From three years ago, I started to do "walking IB class" to finally choosing IB International School in Thailand for Big Judy, which shows how IB I am. Reggio is a relatively small teaching system. We have cooperated with an international school from kindergarten to primary school in Pattaya for more than two years, and it is a school with Reggio's school philosophy. Judging from the feedback from learning families, this school is also deeply loved by everyone, especially children. School is also the most unforgettable memory of Sydney's Ding Jie.

Small-class teaching with less than 20 students in each class implements the teacher responsibility system, and each subject is equipped with a special teacher. This is the schedule of the fourth grade where Big Judy is located:

The highlight is the project-based courses every afternoon from Monday to Thursday, and the schedule of this Reggio international school in Pattaya is similar. There will be a whole day of outing on Friday. My favorite Hua Hin home school, hidden by Judy, has a half-day outing every Friday, and the cat fruit is even more ruthless all day.

The theme of this semester's project course is professional experience. There are many parents of cat fruit shop owners, so the children draw lots to work in these shops. Before departure, the teacher will organize various studies and discussions:

Assign various tasks:

Big Judy got a job in a coffee library:

On Friday's outing day, the theme of the fourth grade this semester is cycling. When Judy was in Shanghai, she said that she borrowed bicycles from other children in the community and asked me to buy one for her. Considering that she was going to Thailand, I never agreed. I'm going to ride it every week now. I really don't know if she can ride it. Cheap mom rushed to Douban and bought a 22-inch women's bike for her to practice. I didn't expect her to really ride it.

On Friday's cycling day, from Cai Village near the school to Shimonoseki, the children rode 40 kilometers back and forth along Huanhai West Road near Erhai Lake. It was really amazing!

During Judy's three years in Shanghai public primary school, what I have been most dissatisfied with is that there is too little outdoor time. Compared with Thailand International School, which plays on the blue sky, white clouds and green grass for a long time every day, children in public schools basically don't leave the classroom except going to the toilet during recess. .....

Guo Mao goes to school at 8: 40 every morning for 20 minutes of morning exercises, and there are outdoor activities during recess. After school at 4 o'clock, the children will stay outdoors for at least half an hour. This is what childhood should be like, isn't it?

After school, I will take Big Judy to the farm of our temporary inn to pick some fresh vegetables.

Studying in Dali, English learning is a problem at present, and the English level is too low for Big Judy. After the exchange, Big Judy went to the reading room to read the English chapter books I brought her from Shanghai and taught herself. Next, I will do some activities to find some English language partners for her and try to keep up with her English. When I returned to Thailand International School, I was able to keep up with the progress.

Apart from the pain of English, the picture of studying in Dali at present is very beautiful, and Judy and I are very satisfied. Do you like this painting? In addition to Maoguo, I am also contacting some local bilingual kindergartens in Dali to cooperate in short-term study tours. During the 11th period, I am still planning a four-day and three-night IB class parent-child tour-Dali Line. Interested parties can scan the code into the group!
