How many countries in Asia can qualify for the World Cup qualifiers?

After qualifying for the World Cup in Asia 12, they were divided into two groups, each of which advanced to the top two in the group. The third place in the two groups played overtime, and the winner only got half of the promotion quota, competing with the fifth place in South America (the South American national team that got the other half of the promotion quota) for the final round qualification.
