Buddhist ceremony
First, the temple etiquette
The residence of the main king of the "Temple": The Buddha's name is Da, which can cure the suffering of all beings. The first Buddhism in China was introduced to the eastern land and won the belief and respect of Wang and other nobles. The words in the palace were said by Wu Zetian, for example, ministers should go to the temple at five o'clock early. As the saying goes, "nothing goes to the Three Treasures Hall".
(a) into the hall due etiquette:
1. Enter along the left and right sides, and don't walk in the middle to show respect. If you walk on the left side of the door, enter with your left foot first, and enter with your right foot on the right side first.
2. Except Buddhist scriptures, Buddha statues and offerings, others are not allowed to be brought in.
3. You can only go in when chanting, worshiping Buddha, cleaning and oiling incense. You can't: take the Buddhist temple as a channel and wander around at will.
4. Clean your body and mind and wash your hands before entering the temple. When entering the temple, don't look around. After the worship, you can look at the holy face and meditate on the cloud: "If you can see the Buddha, you should wish all beings to see the Buddhas without obstacles. 」
In the Buddhist temple, you can only turn right, not left, to show the right way. When people practice Buddhism, they should pay attention to this corner, so they don't have to stop and ask questions, just go to Qi Mei.
6. Don't say worldly words in the temple, and don't talk loudly. Don't sit in the temple except by listening to the classics. Don't laugh loudly even when discussing Buddhism.
7. In the Buddhist temple, there are no feet, leaning against the wall, leaning against the table, leaning against the chin, akimbo, standing against the wall with a stick or spitting, filth, etc. Sit with a basket. When standing, you should put your hands together or stand up straight to show respect.
8. Don't yawn, spit or fart. In the lobby. If necessary, you should leave the hall. Cover your mouth with your sleeve when yawning, and put it in your pocket with toilet paper when spitting. Don't go in and out to influence the public.
(2) How to respect the Buddha statue:
1. Don't criticize the solemnity of Buddha statues, and you can't put any Buddha statues in the bedroom.
2. Wherever there is a Buddha statue passing by, you should dress up for worship or cross your hands to ask questions: if you are in the Hall of Prayer for the New Year or Buddhist Temple, you can cross your hands or ask questions because of the inconvenience of time and space.
3. If the Buddha statue is damaged, it shall be properly handled and shall not be piled up at will:
(1) If the Buddha statue is damaged or unclean, it should be repaired as much as possible, such as re-mounting and cleaning.
(2) If it cannot be repaired, the paper maker should cremate it respectfully and bury the remaining ashes in a clean place. After being cremated or decomposed with respect, stone carvers will scatter them in rivers and seas to avoid being trampled by others.
4. Incense method: When incense is applied, hold the incense with your thumb and forefinger, close the other three fingers, lift the incense to the eyebrows with both hands, and watch the Buddha and Bodhisattva appear in front of us and accept the incense. If there are many people, put the incense vertically to avoid burning others, and then walk three steps away from the Buddha statue, holding the incense and worshiping the Buddha.
It is advisable to put a stick of incense. If you want to put three incense sticks, put the first incense stick in the middle (to support the Buddha), the second incense stick on the right (to support the Buddha) and the third incense stick on the left (to support the monk), and cross your hands (to support all beings, may this incense spread all over the world, support all buddhas and respect all saints and sages).
5. Don't blow out the fire with your mouth when lighting incense. After putting the incense in, just step back and ask questions without nodding all the time.
6. If you see a Buddha statue or scripture in an unclean place, you should take it and move it to a clean place. If you see someone disrespectful to the Buddha statue, you should speak kindly in private.
(3) How to worship Buddha:
1. You don't have to stand in the middle, but you have to worship devoutly. When you know Buddhism by the methods of Sanming, Liu Tong, Shili, Four Fearless and Eighteen Don't * *, as long as all beings have a heart, all Buddhists know everything, so as long as they are sincere and respectful, any place is a good place.
2. No matter how many Buddhas there are in the Buddhist temple, it is usually enough to worship Buddhas three times in the temple, and personal practice is subject to one's own wishes. If the people in the temple have gathered, they can stand with the crowd and cross their hands to ask questions, so as not to bow down in person, so as not to affect public order and not to appear dignified.
3. The significance of three Buddha worship:
Cross your hands: put your hands flat on your chest and put your fingers together. ※.
(1) neither arrogant nor impetuous
(2) see qi.
(3) karma: the so-called "worship Buddha, worship river and sand to eliminate sin", first of all, we must silence the prestige, and we can feel the protection and quilt of Buddha and Bodhisattva.
(4) its method
First Worship: Disciple χ is willing to repent with fellow initiates.
Express remorse. ※
All the evil deeds created in the past are born of greed without beginning or end, and are born of body and mind. I regret everything today.
Confession in reality ※
Sin begins with the heart and repents to it. If the heart is destroyed, the sin is also vain. If the inner sin is destroyed, it is called true repentance.
The second worship: make a vow to practice disciple ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○.
It is really clear that wisdom can be gained by removing the three obstacles together. We all hope to eliminate the obstacles of sin and always follow the path of Bodhisattva.
Third Worship: Join Disciples ○ and Pu Xian, wishing to share bliss with all beings in the dharma world, which proves to be true.
I have won an extraordinary victory in Pu Xian, and I will return to endless blessings. I am willing to indulge all sentient beings and rush to the boundless Buddhist temple.
(5) Ritual Sambo
My disciple ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○
make obeisance to Buddha
It is vain to be able to reciprocate, and it is incredible to be familiar with Taoism. My Dojo is like a bead, and all Buddhas are in the shadows. Before the Tathagata, my mind was full of life.
Law and discipline
The law of vacuum is like emptiness, and it is incredible to live in a magic weapon. Before I appeared in Magic Weapon, I felt like I was back in life.
Ritual monk
Being polite is empty, and it is incredible to feel connected with each other. My Dojo is like a bead, and ten bodhisattvas are in the shadow. I am full of rituals in front of the holy monk.
4. Worship the Buddha must be respectful to the three treasures, such as the first worship of Buddha (there is no Buddha on earth) ..., the second worship of Buddhist scriptures (the most profound and subtle method ...), the third worship of the monk's treasure ..., or the first worship of the infinite buddhas, dharmas and monks in the south, or the third worship of the buddhas, dharmas and monks in the south. Worship Buddha is mainly based on sincerity, so it is not regular to observe or recite it by personal practice.
Don't move your feet when you worship Buddha, so as not to step on the sea blue. When worshipping Buddha, put your hips on your feet and don't tilt up, which is in line with etiquette. If the actions are not slow and urgent, and the memories are sincere and respectful, then the Tao can be sensed. When you worship Buddha, you should silently say: "There is no Buddha in the world, and the world of ten parties is unparalleled. I have seen everything in the world, and everything is like Buddha. " The French king is supreme, the three worlds are unparalleled, the mentor of the unity of heaven and man, and the loving father of four students. I want to convert now, and I can destroy three industries. This is called admiration.
6. Someone worships Buddha, so don't pass by.
7. If a monk is worshipping Buddha, he should not be parallel to the teacher, but behind him.
8. When you worship Buddha, don't look respectful. In fact, you think slowly about me or are unfaithful to me in order to cultivate your reputation.
9. The mat in the center of the main hall is used by the abbot to worship Buddha.
Worship the monk
(A) the five virtues of monks
1. Devotion to vulgarity: It means that monks are brave, break away from vulgarity and practice bodhi for the benefit of the world.
2. Destroying the form of goodness: it means that monks shave off their beards, destroy their lovers, take off their secular dust clothes and put on the Tathagata vestments, which is a Buddhist field on earth.
3. Dear forever: A monk gives up his parents' affection and devotes himself to practicing Buddhism in order to repay his parents' virtue and the happiness of the world.
4. Commit oneself to give up one's life: it means that a monk entrusts himself to give up his life regardless of it, and he only tries to verify Buddhism and Taoism, or it can be a blessing in the world.
5. Aspiring Mahayana: According to legend, a monk always helps others and specializes in the method of seeking Mahayana diligently, in order to eliminate all sentient beings and benefit the world.
Starting from the above five virtues of monks, we should respect monks as we respect Buddha. ※.
(2) Methods of worshipping monks
1. Don't worship virtue, meditate, chant Buddhist scripture, meditate, shave your head, take a bath, go to the toilet, row a boat, sleep, etc. on the road. In addition to chanting, getting sick, shaving and working, monks are not allowed to stand up when they pass by.
2. Dade enters the temple, and when the crowd gathers, the drums are sounded for two hours, and Dade enters the main hall and stands well. The monitor told him to "salute his father" or "take a ride from his father". If Dade wants to leave, he will beat two drums for an hour until he gets on the bus. This is the proper etiquette for seeing him off. If only one person wants to salute, he can enter the Buddhist temple to salute the Buddha and say, "salute to the person with great virtue."
3. Do what Dade tells you and do your best. Don't ask master to help me with my things and bring things. For example, when someone knew that Master was going abroad, they asked her to bring cosmetics, duty-free cigarettes, alcohol and other things. This is all unreasonable. If a monk has a chance to go abroad, don't help others with things, because some luggage may contain drugs and smuggled goods. Be careful.
4. When paying homage to virtue, you can worship devoutly, and the time should not be too long. When you meet a master, you should cross your hands and ask questions to show courtesy. If Dade is humble and does not bow, he can cross his hands and ask questions, and don't stick to his own wishes. If you say three worships to Dade, but Dade doesn't say "one worship is enough", you still have to worship three times. Only in Buddhist temples do you bow to Dade, which is not dignified and correct. Don't bow to the teacher when you meet him at the roadside, ditch, railway station and other inappropriate places. Cross your hands when asking questions. If you have something in your hand, you can bow as a gift. Don't bow with only one hand. It's impolite.
5. When you meet Master with the scriptures in your hand, you should raise the scriptures to your eyebrows and say "Amitabha" or "Hello Master" to Master.
6. Don't call a monk directly. When Master calls, cross your hands and answer, "Amitabha! ! "
7. Don't listen to monks chanting.
8. Don't talk about your family's fault. You are not allowed to be parents, brothers or sisters.
9. Don't be with the monks. If not, even if you share a room, you can't share a bed.
(3) Call Dade
1. Don't call older monks by their first names, but call them elders, old monks, old monks, masters, wizards or wizards.
2. Older monks should be called "teachers", "nuns", "wizards" and "masters". If you don't know whether it is a bhikkhu or a bhikkhuni, you can call them "Master".
For young monks and nuns, you can directly call them "Master", or add the word "teacher" under their names, if there is a "teacher".
4. Ask Dade's name, first put your hands together, and then say "Sorry, Master, please" and "Master, please".
5. Don't call yourself "I" in front of virtue. When we call ourselves "latecomers", "students", "latecomers", "uneducated", "scholars" or "disciples" and "students" according to relationships, we should not call ourselves unwise, incompetent and incompetent.
(4) Talking to Dade
1. If you have any questions about Dade, you should say "Please tell me".
2. When talking to Dade, don't stand higher than Dade or stand in the middle of the road. If Master is upstairs, please ask him to enlighten you. If Master is downstairs, don't call her loudly upstairs, but go downstairs and ask for instructions.
3. Please tell me that Dade should be allowed to set his own time, which will not affect Dade's practice, and the time should be agreed with Master in advance, which is ideal.
4. Dade should ask questions honestly and honestly.
When talking with guests, Dade should not interrupt rashly. If you have something to say, you should wait for someone to say hello. You shouldn't interrupt your speed and lose your respect. If there is an important emergency, you should say sorry first, and then ask for instructions.
6. Dade, don't talk to him when he is reading, writing, having class or having a rest.
7. If a bhikkhu or an excellent woman is stuffed into a cliff hole in a deep mountain to practice alone, the female layman may not ask for legal support alone. Even though you know he is ill, you shouldn't serve him alone. You should invite a monk or a monk to serve him.
