Qualifications:
The seats of each association are at most one-third of the total number of teams participating in the top leagues under the association (for example, Australia can only send three teams at most, because there are only nine teams in the Australian Football Super League that are really located in Australia). Any club that participates in the AFC Champions League or AFC Champions Cup must be established for more than three years before it can qualify.
If any member association gives up the seat directly advanced to the group stage, the seat will be allocated to the member association with the highest qualification, but it is still limited by a maximum of three direct participation places. If any member association gives up the seat directly advanced to the qualifying tournament, the seat will be considered invalid and will not be allocated to other member associations.
Group stage:
