Distribution of qualified seats
According to the strength of each continent, the qualifying teams of each continent are determined, and the distribution is as follows:
Europe -53 teams, 13 qualifying seats.
Africa -53 teams and 5 qualifying seats.
South America -9 teams with 4.5 qualifying seats.
Asia -43 teams with 4.5 qualifying seats.
Central and North America and the Caribbean -35 teams with 3.5 qualified seats.
Oceania-1 1 team, with 0.5 qualifying seats (including 20 12 Oceania Cup)
In addition to Europe and Africa, the other four continents must decide their seats for the last two weeks through intercontinental play-offs. Asian region
43 teams participated in the Asian regional qualifiers of the 20 14 World Cup. The last team 16 in the last Asian regional qualifiers first played the first round of qualifiers on June 29th and 30th, and July 3rd and 4th, respectively. A total of 52 teams competed for five places in the African regional qualifiers of the 20 14 World Cup. Oceania region
