Black Niang, also known as the fairy of black old lady Taoism, will have statues of black old lady in Taoist temples and some temples. It is generally believed that the total spirit of the black old lady is in Jiuding Tieshan Mountain, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. According to legend, the black old lady was trained as a fairy in the hanging stone cave of Jiuding Tiesha Mountain. The black old lady is the patron saint of Northeast China. The date of birth of this black old lady is June 24th of the lunar calendar.

The legend of black mother
1937 years ago, when A Qing juren Bai Yongzhen wrote the chronicle of Tiesha Mountain, he told me that when Taoist Guo Shouzhen was practicing in Maanshan, Qingdao, Shandong Province, there was a black fairy beside him. Later, when Guo Zhenren came to Tiesha Mountain in Liaoning Province, Black Daxian followed Guo Zhenren to the northeast and became a female identity to protect Guo Zhenren.
1663 There was a severe drought in Shengjing, and it didn't rain for several months. At that time, General Wu of Shengjing ordered a notice to be posted to recruit talents from all over the world. If anyone can solve the drought and heavy rain in Shengjing, he will be rewarded with three thousand two hundred pieces of silver. Guo Zhenren took off the notice, and with the help of his black mother, he got the rain from heaven. After praying for rain successfully, Wu gave the land of Taiqing Palace to Guo Zhenren. Since then, Guo Zhenren has established a sect in Northeast China, and named the black old lady (black mother) as the patron saint of Taoism in Northeast China.
