British League Cup schedule

The schedule of the English League is as follows:

English football league system, also known as pyramid system, refers to a series of interrelated football league competition systems between England and some Welsh football clubs. These leagues are divided into different levels, and because of the rules of promotion and demotion between leagues at all levels, such small clubs can climb to the top of the whole pyramid.

The teams participating in the English League Cup are the first to fourth professional teams in England, which are the Premier League, the British Championship, A and B respectively. The tournament is divided into seven rounds, with teams from the British Championship, A and B participating from the first round and teams from the Premier League participating from the second round. Except for two rounds in the semi-finals, all other competitions are single rounds. If the two sides draw, extra time will be played; if the two sides draw in extra time, penalty shoot-out will be used. The final was held in a neutral position, and it was tied in 90 minutes and went into overtime until the penalty was decided.

The League Cup is the most extensive and highest-level event sponsored by a "professional league" composed of 24 clubs in the Champions League, Class A and Class B. Football League was founded in 1886, and was originally in charge of all 92 professional clubs at all levels. However, after the reform of the Super League, 20 teams in the first division set up a parallel Super League, and now there are 72 clubs under it.

From 2009 to 20 12, Carling Beer was the sponsor of the Carling Cup, so the English Carling Cup is also called Carling Cup. In 20 12, the main sponsor changed to the first cup, which is called the first cup. In 20 16, Thailand's energy beverage brand Karabao Vibrant Beverage signed a contract with the English Football League for three years, and became its title sponsor from the 20 17- 18 season. The historic English League Cup was renamed Karabao Cup.
