Characters experience, Wang Yao

Sun Shi was smart and studious since childhood. Minhui remembered that when he was 7 years old, he could recite more than 1000 words every day, so he was called a holy boy. Sun Simiao's hometown is near Chang 'an, which was the cultural center of Qin and Han Dynasties and the rear area of the East-West Wei War. The war at that time did little damage to its history and culture. Under this condition, Sun Simiao had the opportunity to read extensively since he was a child. Because I was weak and sick from childhood, I often went to a doctor for treatment, which exhausted my family resources. Therefore, since his youth, he decided to take medicine as his career, devoted his life to medical research and treated people, so he studied Huang Qi's art assiduously.

By the age of 20 or so, he had a certain attainments in medicine and became famous, so the "sick people outside Beijing" sought him for treatment. Besides medical books, he also reads classics of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. When Sun Shi was young, he was already a learned scholar, especially proficient in Confucianism and Taoism, and he also studied Buddhism. In 579 AD, that is, after Sun Shi was about 37 years old, with his clever and keen mind and profound knowledge, he saw through the nature of intrigue between the ruling groups at that time and killing people without blinking an eye. Coupled with the influence of Taoism and Buddhism, he despised his official career and left his hometown. He went to Taibai Mountain, a little south of Chang 'an, more than 600 miles away from Chang 'an, and Zhong Nanshan, more than 200 miles south of Chang 'an, for decades.

During this period, he devoted himself to studying the works of physicians in previous dynasties before the Tang Dynasty, such as Su Wen, A&B, Needle Sutra of the Yellow Emperor, Liu Zhu of Tang Ming, and the classical prescriptions of Bian Que, Zhongjing, Cang Gong, Hua Tuo, Wang Shuhe, Ruan Henan, Fan Dongyang, Zhang Miao and Jin Shao. In addition, he also spent a lot of time in the popular aspects of "recording life by Yin and Yang", "the method of each family", "burning turtles by 5 trillion yuan" and "Zhouyi Liu Ren", that is, predicting good fortune, predicting good fortune and recording disasters. In addition to being familiar with classical medical theories, he also studied and recorded a lot of rich experience in drug identification, collection, processing and storage by using the natural conditions of living in mountainous areas for a long time.

In the practice of treating various diseases for hundreds of ordinary people in Fiona Fang for many years, his medical theory is combined with clinical practice, and medical technology has reached the perfect state. Sun Shi's combination of acupuncture and medicine is very effective. For example, during Tang Gaozu's Wude period (AD 6 18-626), he successfully cured the severe vomiting and diarrhea; In the early years of Emperor Taizong's Zhenguan (about 627 AD), he cured almost incurable consumption. In the ninth year of Zhenguan (AD 636), he rejuvenated and cured Hanwang's intractable edema disease. In the first year of Yonghui in Tang Gaozong (AD 650), he cured a stubborn arrow wound by taking Chinese medicine orally. Wait, the list goes on. In addition, during his decades of medical career, he treated more than 600 leprosy patients, and the cure rate reached 10%, which was a miracle 300 years ago. All kinds of incurable diseases that are ineffective after various treatments can be cured at hand as long as they are diagnosed and treated in Sun Shi. In this way, his fame is not only famous in the mountains and forests, but also in the capital.

Sun Simiao has both fame and fortune. Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, Emperor Taizong and Tang Gaozong asked him to be an official many times, but he refused to accept his resignation. Since the age of 85, he has lived in the capital and mountainous areas, and his main social activity is practicing medicine. In the first year of Shangyuan in Tang Gaozong, in 674 AD, Sun Simiao was about 132 years old. He has some connections with the imperial court and is bound by some restrictions. Therefore, on the pretext of poor health, he went to Gao Zong to apply for leaving Beijing to return to the mountains. Emperor Gaozong disagreed, so he gave him a good horse and gave him the house of Princess Poyang, which was idle at that time.

During this period, Sun Shi was highly respected in high society. At that time, Song, a full-time bachelor of Dongtai, Meng Ju, a famous scholar, and Lu, one of the four masters of Wang Luo in the early Tang Dynasty, all treated them with "teacher courtesy". In his later years, Sun Simiao was proficient in astronomy, geography, humanities, society, psychology and other aspects, and had a profound insight into the development and changes of things, even reaching a superb level.

According to Old Tang Book, Sun Chu, assistant minister of Dongtai at that time, took five sons, politicians Sun Jian, Sun Yi, Sun Jun, Sun You and Sun Yi, to visit Sun Simiao. After meeting them, Sun Shi said that Sun Jun would get rich first, Sun You's career success would be behind, and Sun Yi would be the most famous of his brothers, but his misfortune was to lead troops. After that, things really developed as Sun Shi expected. Also, Prince Qi Qing of Zhan Lu met Sun Simiao when he was a child. Sun Shi said, "When you become an official in fifty years, my grandson will be your subordinate." . Later, Lu was appointed as the secretariat of Xuzhou, and Sun Simiao's grandson was the magistrate of Xiaoxian County in Xuzhou. When Sun Simiao spoke to Liu Qiqing, Sun Pu was not born yet.

In his later years, Sun Simiao devoted his main energy to writing books. According to Ye Mengde, a writer in the Southern Song Dynasty, Sun Shi began to write 30 volumes of Thousand Women at the age of 100. In the first year of Yongchun (682), he collected the experience of the last 30 years and wrote 30 volumes of Wings of a Thousand Women to supplement the legacy of A Thousand Women's Glory. In the same year, Sun Simiao, a famous doctor who lived to the age of 140, died in Chang 'an. In his will, he told his family to keep his funeral simple, not to bury things with him, and not to slaughter livestock as a memorial. According to the Old Tang Book, after his death, "after more than a month, his face remained the same. When he carried the corpse, he died like a stake, still like an empty coat, and people were different." This may be because he practiced Qigong for a long time and took some drugs, which made some special changes in his metabolism. This point should not be easily regarded as nonsense or feudal superstition, and it needs further discussion and research in the future.

Sun Simiao experienced the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and was a knowledgeable and skilled doctor. However, he does not seek fame and fortune, and takes doctors as his lifelong career. He has lived among the Han people for a long time, practicing medicine, applying drugs and saving lives. His diagnosis and treatment were not limited to ancient methods, but also adopted the strengths of many families. His medication is not restricted by herbal classics, and his prescription is universal according to clinical needs. The prescription used is flexible and changeable, and the curative effect is remarkable. I have brought several apprentices in my life: Liu Shenwei, Lu and so on; Famous in ancient and modern times! He attaches great importance to the experience of Han folk medical care and often spares no effort to visit and inquire. In order to get one side of the story and spread the truth, I will spend a lot of money. Rolling in Wutai Mountain, Taibai Mountain, Zhong Nanshan, Emei Mountain and other places, collecting medicinal materials, processing drugs, refining Dan medicine, and deeply studying the medicinal properties. There are many studies on common, frequently-occurring and endemic diseases of Han nationality, and many difficult and critical patients have been treated. He is not only good at internal medicine, but also good at surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, and has research on taking health care, diet, acupuncture, prevention, alchemy and so on. At the same time, he has extensive knowledge of pharmacology and exquisite acupuncture techniques. This not only made him a famous medical master in the Tang Dynasty, but also made him weak and never lost his sight until he was 100 years old.
