The registration of 2023 Chengdu Marathon officially opened at 9: 00 on September 15. Reporter 14 learned from the Organizing Committee of Macheng that the competition will start at 7: 30 on October 29th.
This year, Ma Cheng has set up three events: 25,000 marathon, half marathon 10000 marathon and racing wheelchair marathon. In order to show the city and cultural features to a greater extent and further enhance the influence of Chengdu Marathon, the race route will pass through chenghua district to achieve full coverage of the main urban area of Chengdu. The new route will add urban landmarks and landscapes such as Tianfu Panda Tower and Xinhua Park, and the contestants will have a richer track experience.
The 2023 Chengdu Marathon will continue last year's time-sharing and divisional start, and continue to optimize the experience of the contestants. The end point of the half marathon is adjusted to Sichuan University Museum, and the end point of the marathon remains unchanged, and it is still the new international convention and exhibition center of Chengdu Century City.
This year's event is still a city festival integrating sports, culture, tourism and civic celebration. Ma Chengwen's product line will continue to innovate, and "Panda Hero" will also usher in a new look. At the same time, the food supply with Chengdu characteristics and other elements that have been well received by previous contestants will continue to accompany the contestants and create a unique experience.
Important activities such as Macheng Breakfast Run and World Expo will also be held as scheduled and will be upgraded. This year's Chengdu Marathon Expo has a larger exhibition area and more exhibitors. It will aim at the benchmark of the road running industry exhibition in Southwest China and attract road running enthusiasts and practitioners from all over the country to participate.
In addition to the distribution of entries and the display of sponsors, non-profit organizations and projects, cooperative activities, road running lectures, industry forums and licensed product sales will all return. Macheng Road Running College will also reopen lectures, publicize and popularize marathon culture, promote the development of sports, culture and tourism in Chengdu, and provide a publicity service platform for Chengdu and its sponsors.
Chengdu Marathon 2023 is hosted by Chengdu Municipal People's Government, with Chengdu Sports Bureau, Chengdu Media Group, Sichuan Tianfu New District Management Committee, Chengdu High-tech Zone Management Committee, Jinjiang District People's Government, Qingyang District People's Government, jinniu district Municipal People's Government, Wuhou District People's Government and chenghua district Municipal People's Government as special support units, Sichuan University as certification unit and World Marathon Grand Slam League as guidance unit.
