First of all, the big chess game

China Weiqi Competition is sponsored by China Weiqi Association and Shenzhen Baoan District People's Government, undertaken by Shenzhen Baoan District Culture, Radio, Film and Television Tourism and Sports Bureau, and implemented by Shenzhen Baoan District Weiqi Association. The "Bay Area Cup" China Weiqi Competition is the first event in Baoan, Shenzhen, and the first professional Weiqi competition in China, representing the highest competitive level of Weiqi in China.

Second, go

Weiqi is a strategic chess game for two people, which was called "Yi" in ancient China and "Weiqi" in the west. Popular in East Asian countries (China, Japan, Korea and North Korea), it belongs to one of the four major arts of piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. Weiqi originated in China, and the legend was written by Emperor Yao, which was recorded in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, it was introduced to Japan through Korea and then to European and American countries. Weiqi contains rich cultural connotations in China, which is the embodiment of China culture and civilization.

Weiqi uses rectangular chessboards and black and white round pieces. There are 19 vertical and horizontal lines and 36 1 intersections on the regular chessboard. Chess pieces must walk at the intersection of non-forbidden points in space, and both sides can play games alternately. You can't move or regret after playing chess. You win with more numbers. Because the black side has the first-hand advantage, it is artificially stipulated that the black side should give the white side a look at the end of the game. The competition rules formulated by China, Japan and South Korea are slightly different.

Third, the benefits of Go.

1, Go can exercise your mind.

Weiqi is a game in which people kill each other around. Every move is equivalent to sending a soldier to attack the other side, forcing the other side to find a way to deal with it. The other side is also attacking and needs to find a way to beat back. This process of constant attack and defense is the process of constantly asking questions and solving problems. In this process, the brain gets uninterrupted exercise and becomes more and more flexible and intelligent.

2. Go can cultivate ability.

There are many opportunities to use numbers in Go, and you can unconsciously accept mathematics in entertainment, so that your computing ability can be exercised and improved. The competitive process of Go is intense, and both sides can effectively cultivate high attention, keen observation, meticulous analysis, flexible adaptability and overall coordination ability, greatly improving the ability to solve problems.
