It occurs every year 1 generation, overwinters with mature larvae, and in the next spring, the mature larvae dive into the soil to build a pupa room, which is about 5-6 cm from the ground. It began to emerge as an adult in mid-May and remained in the soil after emergence. After the sultry thunderstorm weather in May and June, a large number of adults were unearthed to mate and lay eggs, and they laid eggs in wet soil or places with many weeds in the nursery. The larvae lived in the soil and fed on seedlings or weed roots.
