Meng Jie Jiangnan Ancient House

The countryside is the origin of civilization, and homesickness is the weakest emotion in everyone's heart. No matter the dignitaries or ordinary people, their feelings for their hometown are irreplaceable.

Although I was born in the countryside, until now, I have always longed for rural life, especially ancient villages. Of course, the ideal beautiful countryside must have the beauty of blue sky and white clouds, fresh air, ancient houses and small courtyards and fertile fields.

On the vast land of Kyushu, how many quaint and beautiful villages are hidden "born in the inner room and no one knows her"? When I came to Xinjian Town in Jinyun this time, I was surprised to see the long-awaited ancient village of Heyang.

The ancient houses in Heyang were built in 933 AD, which originated from Zhu Qingyuan, the minister of Wu Yueguo. With a history of more than 1 100 years, it has become a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Beautiful mountains and rivers, simple folk customs, known as "800 smoke stoves and 3,000 people", the whole village still lives in groups. Villagers surnamed Zhu account for more than 90% of the total population, all of whom are descendants of Zhu Qingyuan Gong.

In Jinyun County and even Zhejiang Province, Heyang's ancient dwellings are the best preserved and have the largest construction area, so they enjoy the reputation of "rare living fossils of ancient villages in the south of the Yangtze River".

The whole ancient residential complex includes ten clan manors, fifteen ancient ancestral halls and five ancient temples, and there are more than 100 old houses 1500, most of which were built in Ming and Qing dynasties. Its large number and scale can be called "a must in the south of the Yangtze River".

Among them, Zhu Da Ancestral Temple, Han Wengong Temple, Hegong Specialized Hall, Lianxiang Room, ploughing and digging, and the reflection of the moon are all distinctive and worth seeing.

According to the villagers, in addition to the ancient houses, the streets and water systems in the village basically maintained the pattern of village design in the Yuan Dynasty.

Walking in the village, you can see the old houses that have been deposited over the years, scattered in a patchwork way. The black and white tones full of historical charm make this ancient house more and more full of vicissitudes, just like old wine. The longer the year, the more mellow it is.

Exquisite brick carvings, wood carvings, various styles of furniture, murals, poetry plaques, China's unique folk art-Heyang window paper-cutting, and antique folk activities constitute this rare cultural ancient village in the south of the Yangtze River.

As a well-known family in Jinyun, for more than 1000 years, Zhu in Heyang advocated ethics, cultivated himself and passed down his family, and talented people came forth in large numbers. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, there were eight scholars in the village, and the "Eight Scholars Gate" in Heyang Ancient Street was built for this purpose.

There are a pair of headless stone lions with strange shapes in front of the door, which are said to be presented by Zhu Yuanzhang and named "exotic". In Zhu Yuanzhang's view, it is really rare for a village to produce eight Jinshi.

Heyang people not only abide by the ancestral training of farming, reading, heirloom and attaching importance to agriculture and business, but also take special care of this ancestral home. This thousand-year-old village, with outstanding people, has maintained the overall layout of "one stream, two pits, one street and five lanes" since its establishment.

Da Qiao Road is the most distinctive exterior wall building of ancient houses. There are 32 horsehead-shaped walls on this road. Seen from a distance, they are like a galloping horse, whistling upwards with extraordinary momentum.

The uneven walls are calendars given to ancient villages by years, and the stone roads clatter under their feet, as if telling a dusty past.

And I walked through ancient wells and deep alleys, as well as old houses and ponds. I saw that it was already late in Qingshi Street, the smoke was curling up and the lights lit up the small window.

Until a full moon rose to the sky and shed a clear light like running water. At this time, a picture of an ancient village is hidden in a natural place, and people are still wandering alone, exploring unknown scenery. ...

On the white walls and tiles, there are thousands of stories about the ancient house in Heyang. In the corner of that yard, the most authentic ancient village fireworks rose. In the smoke, there is a deep homesickness.

Whether you are returning home or passing by, when you walk into this place, the secret land of Jiangnan, where time has solidified, you can always see a lamp burning for you. When you come from a distance and see that light, even if it is yellowish, your heart will be full of warmth!
