Who is Daniel?
Daniel, a young Jew, was taken to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar in 605 BC. He was a minister of a foreign court and served King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (605-562 BC), Belshazzar (556-539 BC) and King Ju Lushi of Persia (539-530 BC). Jesus Christ called him a prophet (cf. Mt. 24: 15). However, due to his actual position as a politician, this book is listed in the holy volume of Hebrew canon. Daniel was obedient and loyal to God all his life, uncompromising to the pagan environment, and witnessed the power of God with his life.
